Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has reportedly hired former President Obama's digital strategist during his successful 2008 and 2012 campaigns.

The hire comes after Warren told supporters this week that she was forming an exploratory committee for a presidential bid in 2020, in what is expected to be a crowded Democratic field.

Warren's hiring Obama's former digital strategist Joe Rospars for a senior leadership role overseeing operations in early primary states shows that she's serious about at least taking the first steps for running for president in 2020.

I personally like her but feel that she lacks the charisma needed to shed her NE liberal image in order to win in states like IA & KS.

This is a very solid hire for Warren.

In about 15 months we're going to see all the Democrats together in the same room and we're going to see who's the strongest and most compelling candidate. In the meantime, it's worth pointing out that she's likeable, sincere and has a clear grasp of policy. You know who's none of those things? Donald Trump.

Best be careful what he does, since all that digital campaigning is illegal, now.
