Well the Republicans finally really have their war on Christmas.

The Dow is taking a dive. The Trump government shutdown..........so many Americans will not be getting their much needed paychecks...

Thanks Donald.

Happy Holidays.

The Equity markets have long been little more than a casino for those who hold the societies wealth, they have been in a massive bubble for a long time, and bubbles always pop.

This is more about the dysfunction of America than it is about Trump.

Most employees will get back pay, it’s not a big deal. Also, the market just gave any good investor a Christmas gift with the best deals in a long time. BUY NOW!!

Trump? Isn't he the guy who has cashed in on dysfunction? Isn't he the guy who fosters it, encourages it, actually creates it where it hasn't happened yet so he can show his acolytes where their enemies lie waiting? Isn't Trump the guy who says America is dysfunctional where it crosses his agenda? The intelligence agencies are like Nazi Germany, federal judges can't be trusted to bring unbiased judgements, the electoral process is corrupt, is all that dysfunction real or did your Dear Leader just make it up, create dysfunction where it didn't exist for the sake of arousing Trump Nation?
Trump is about dysfunction. It's what he sells.

They will get their money, and learn to save a little next time. It’s a good learning experience

That is nice from the point of view of someone that has money to put away (enough for a rainy day fund)

They are free to work anywhere they choose. If they aren’t making ends meet then go find something else.

And when an opportunity comes up, they will.

You do not know their situation, skill set, and education.

Happy Holidays.

And last I heard The National Christmas Tree is dark and closed to the public, and a seven year old was told by Trump that believing in Santa Claus is "marginal" at best.

PERFECT!

Tell that to their landlords. Even IF a few landlords or mortgage bankers decide to be kind, then it is THEY who wind up with a lump of coal in their stocking instead, either way, Trump is screwing millions of people for Christmas.

And he OWNS the shutdown.

There are many ways to navigate financial pressure, such as getting a new job.

And someone is going to hire them when they will be back to work within a month?

Or are you saying they should quit their job with benefits and screw their seniority?

You are so flippant about this when many (not all or most) are going to have true hardship and real life serious consequences because of this action.

Working for the government has benefits over working in the private sector generally government jobs offer a better benefits package. It also has its down side. Having to endure partial lapses in pay over political grandstanding every few years is one of the downsides anyone considering working for the government should consider.

I’m not flippant, it is a reality for all of us in the private sector, why are government employees any different.

Are layoffs fair? Are terminations fair? Are government shutdowns fair? If you haven’t looked past your next paycheck is that wise? Sorry, crying about it doesn’t help

You are not in charge of how they spend their money and wanting people to make less so they can learn some lesson that you find important is tyranical.
