WaPo: Donald Trump is a unique threat to American democracy

No problem, people like you always run from the debate when confused by actual data and facts preferring rhetoric and op ed pieces but only those you want to believe
I'm not running.....its just that debating with a brick wall ceases to be productive after a while. Its hard to interact with someone who debates only in partisan talking points and meaningless platitudes. You, sir are a closed-minded individual unwilling or intellectually unable to see any other position or perspective other than your own. You refuse to answer questions directly. When presented with uncomfortable FACTS, your response is always, "Doesn't matter....."

How can anyone have a sensible debate with you? You should take a little advice and try something new for once......stop with all of the anger, bitterness, and meaningless rhetoric and try to see things from the perspective of others just once. Learn to grow as a person....you're never too old to do that. And sometimes,, in order to grow as a person, it requires us to recognize that every once in a while, the positions we've been holding or the things that we've been supporting have been wrong. Ive had to accept that I was wrong many times in my life.....you should try it. There is no weakness in humility.

Again, good day sir.

He is an idiot. His claim to fame is name calling.

Again, good day sir.

it is very easy to have a sensible debate with me but you better come prepared with data, logic, and common sense, something you have yet to try. I am not angry at all as I just don't understand people like you who believe what you want to believe and never research to verify the rhetoric. Come back when you are prepared to defend your position without posting op ed pieces or personal opinions of others. I use BLS.gov, BEA.gov, Treasury data. I have answered your questions directly, you didn't like the answer as your question about subjective material will never get a direct answer.

Good Day

As we all know you prefer articles that claim Africa is nothing more than AIDS and Ebola...

Those who support Trump blatantly ignore the fact he's a disaster of a candidate and he'd be a disaster of a president.

That's not some partisan opinion, that isn't some outlandish statement... In the real world, outside the right wing bizarro universe bubble... Trump and those who support him are thoroughly misguided individuals.

You do realize your opinion isn't fact and you don't really know what the trump supporters believe.

People "like me"? That's the second or third time you've made such a prejudicial and closed-minded remark. If I have a "problem" it's that I have the ability to think rationally and to think for myself. That's obviously a "problem" for the Trump legions.

Congratulations.....your attempts to show me the "error of my ways" have only strengthened my resolve to call Trump out for what he truly is. And, as I've stated exhaustively, Hillary will not get my vote either. I couldn't feel very good about myself nor that I'd done my country any service at all if I voted for either of these frauds.

I think our discussion here is done. Good day to you sir, and good luck to you.

Ahhh a Bernie supporter. You have every right to your opinion as does everyone else here on this site. My concern from many trump haters is that they lump people like me into their own self serving group. In actuality we/I am so much more and have spent much time like you believing I know what is the right path. Only one of us will prevail but at the end of the day the people will have spoken. I would honestly take Bernie over Hillary a million times plus. Because I believe he has integrity. I might not want our country to go in his direction but I can at least sleep at night knowing his heart is /was in the right place. People are very, very angry and you shouldn't underestimate that anger. This vote is more about that than anything else. Go trump

Bahahaha! Your analytical skills have failed you miserably. Bernie is as bad as Trump...on the opposite end of the political spectrum.....an Idealistic Utopian Socialist whose policy proposals would likely bankrupt the nation.

In retrospect, I'm not super proud of all the votes I've cast, but I'm not afraid to let anyone know whom I supported at the time. Since being an eligible voter I have voted George HW Bush '92, Bill Clinton '96, G.W. Bush 00' and '04, Ron Paul in '08, Gary Johnson in '12.

I'm nowhere close to being a Bernie Bot. I am a fiscal conservative and moderate on most social issues. The problem is, you Trumplodytes simply cannot understand, for the life of you how any "good conservative" could have the audacity to point out MAJOR problems with the GOP nominee. How any "loyal conservative" could have the audacity to actually think for himself. I suppose I am simply expected to shut up, eat crap, get in line with all the other sheeple in the name of the Almighty Donald? I should just shut up and cast my vote like a good acolyte....ignoring my personal values and principles (like freedom and constitutionalism) that I feel are important and would be trashed in many cases according to Trump's proposals?

Angry people don't always make wise voters. Angry people helped the Nazi Party rise to power not so long ago.

Actually, it was world leaders/naïve citizens who were so full of their own selves and their own miseries that they turned the other way and ignored what was really happening in the world around them. ie: millions of Jews being annihilated. It was and is always easier to look the other way ie: Hillary supporters.

Look - I'm not your enemy :). I think it is great that you are proud of all the votes you've cast. I'm proud of all but one (Obama). You and I are actually very much alike. I'm similarly conservative fiscally and open minded on social issues. I marched for women's rights and abortion rights in the 80's - (barely able to walk at that young age LOL). Probably this in and of itself is why I actually like Trump and will vote for him. The Tea Party was a big mistake in my humble opinion. It's a great political organization for those who are so ultra conservative that they want to hang out together with like minded people. But that isn't the world today. The reason the Republican party hasn't been successful in the Presidential arena these last two elections is because they failed to appeal to the larger masses - ie: you and me. The Dems. have it down - they'll pander to anyone to get a vote. But at some point, the people awaken and realize that saying it and doing it are two different things.

You seem to hate Trump for valid reasons but also some that are not so valid but are based on outside influence. Let's face it - none of us really know him well enough to address him as the Almighty Donald. You see him as a Tyrant but I see him as something else. I see him as a good father, a kind person and someone who actually is a pretty decent soul.

I've been wrong before (Obama) so let's hope that this isn't the case again :). But, I'll close by saying my analytical skills are on par with anything you might bring to the table. We just have differing opinions and isn't it great to live in a country that still allows us to have opinions.
