Is what we need to do is have "ALL" REPS & DEMS
re-register as a third party!

Don't get scared! You can always register back to
your original party!

If we do this the REPS&DEMS will get off their
fat lazy azz's and represent "WE THE PEOPLE", and
not the Lobbyists, Special interest groups,
political agenda pushers....

Because once they smell their own blood they
will be less incline to screw over America!

To pick different party!
http://www.politics1.com/parties.htm

This way you can at least PRETEND that you have
a real choose in government!

jesus christ there are about 50 communist socialist parties! None of them I agree with!

Yeah, the left in this country is pretty weak. Half of them are simply liberals who only fight for gays, abortions , and illegals and the other half are power hungry dems.

Anyway, if you want to change something I suggest the Reform Party. Reform is the goal of the party. I just hope the several Reform Parties could piece together a centrist coalition, with primaries. They could get many centrist Republicans, easily, like in 92 who don't follow the evangelical code. Also many Dems who don't like the status quo.

Firstly I don't think I'll vote or join a party that has candidates because the voting system in place is disgusting. Third parties have no chance whatsoever, and the electoral system is ****. Elections are wached on TV like a super bowl as you watch which fat billionaire will get picked over the other.

You're right though. The far left is weak. Most communists won't vote in elections so it's hopeless.

As for the reform party, It's still a capitalist centerist party despite the fact it advocates reform.

Yes, it's capialist. But it might just break the 2 party stranglehold.

The only real hope for a 3rd Party is for a split to occur in one of the two, or both.

I understand what both of you are saying, and that's why I suggested:

If "!Americans!" that are registered as REPS or DEMS (and Americans not
registered) re-register as a third party the DEMS&REPS will have to reconsider
their political agendas!

So say, after the 2004 Election all REPS and DEMS re-registered as Reform,
Green, Libertarian, Natural Law, Constitutional or what ever 3rd party they like.
The for the next 4yr (or at least 2yr) both parties will try improve their agendas
and get back the voters the lost!

Now to all the DEMS&REPS who are afraid of this though, just remember when
primaries, elections, or Special election come around you can always register
back to your original party!

I think that's a weird way of handling it. How about no more private funding and equal public funding. Also, all candidates are allowed in the debate.

It's not weird, it's one of the only ways American voters can have an
impact on the DEM-REP Monopoly!

If you don't vote or register then the REPS&DEM are more powerful !
Because they then need fewer votes to have a majority!

For example:
If 100 people have to pick a leader, and only two people are running
for the leader position.
Say 30 people say those people running suck I'm not going to vote !
Now the new leader needs only 31 people to vote for him and not 51!

I'm for campaign reform, but I'm worried any group could throw up a leader and get money for their campaign.

Anyway, it be interesting if the Presidential election was thrown back to the House, like with Andrew Jacksons first run. Of course, all that did was screw over the popular vote...

Well Of all the parties I wouldn't say that the Reform has the best chance of breaking the 2 party stranglehold. It's smaller than the libertarian, Green, and even constitution party.

Personally, I think the greens have the best chance as they have been the most active in recent elections wih Ralph Nader.

The Libertarians on the otherhand are very large, but haven't fielded a noticable candidate yet.

Nader is endorsed by many Reformers also.

Anyway, I think it's stupid for so many 3rd parties to exist. Why can't their be a Green Reform party or something like that? The biggest thing destroying 3rd parties is ego.

Yeah something like that but then you have people from the green party who disagree with reform policies so they'd jump ship during the merge or vica-versa or something like that, but you bring up a really strong valid point. There should just be a huge merge of all the parties (except fascist parties LOL) and then the members of the former parties would vote for a representitive of their party sect via internet to represent them on a council that has one representitive per party (or could be by size of party). Than the council would vote on a platform for the Union Party and come election time, candidate to run. Or something like that. Wouldn't that be cool?

yeah civil disobedience. Unfortunatly you'd need alot of people for that to work. But yeah it's a good thought. Also I think there are things called 'affinity groups' that do that although I don't know much about them.

I hope not. I imagine them forming a faction, like the evangelicals in the Perublican party. After this new coalition, they won't be faction anymore but the whole GOP (which will then be GOD)

Anyhow I'm a socialist also, but I like the reform in the short term (and major reform in the long). And yes, all the US socialist parties suck, like they were all made in dorm rooms.

New rule: You don't rip on someone's grammar and then proceed to misspell "They're"
