(A front loader (washing machine) is just at the right height - speaking now as a mother and not a corporate spokeswoman - for a four-year-old," said Patti Andresen Shew of Alliance Laundry Systems.)

How pleasant that someone cares for the safety of NAVY PRIDE.

What's the matter you pissed because he doesn’t like you or something?
Is this what we can expect from you, starting topics to attack NP?

I shall refrain from making such or similar comments about another poster and in particular NAVY PRIDE through my comments on a thread leader I have posted.

On a "serious" note.. laughed quite a bit when I read them hehe.. wacky is an understatement.

It sounds funny and you would think that everybody is smart enough to know you don't put any person in a washer... however I remember hearing on the news that someone had put a baby in a washer in a local laundromat:doh

Young children have also been known to hide in such machines when game playing.
One wonders how the manufacturers cope with children who are uanable to read the warnings.
Children are also known to climb into Fridge and or Freezers, often with disasterous consequences.
What is actually required is a whole lot of Parental care and attention to what their young are doing.

Just remember, those warnings are there because, someone, somewhere has tried to do it!!!

Those translated instructions/warnings can be pretty hilarious also.

Conscientious parenting helps, but sh!t happens anyway, as every parent- deep down in their heart- knows.
Thousands of small children each year are injured in preventable accidents involving household appliances and chemicals.
Not all of their parents were negligent.
People just like to think so, because it makes us all feel more empowered.
We fool ourselves into believing that if we aren't negligent, if we are diligent about caring for our children, then our children will be safe.
But it doesn't always work out that way.

There should be monetary incentives for corporations whose devices employ the principles of natural selection by virtue of design.
