[W:89: 591]Swedish Police Officer: 'Muslim Countries Provide Most Criminals in Sweden' [W:89]

Thanks for the information. Very interested how Sweden parliamentary democracy system work.
Well today we have a new PM, Ulf Kristersson, leader of the Moderates. Tomorrow he will announce his government, which consist of ministers from the Christian Democrats and the Liberals but not the Swedish Democrats who wiill be a 'support party - even though they are the largest of the four. Although SD will not actually be in the government it is expected they will have a very great deal of influence. We will see.

Post date October 27, 2022

Sweden has historically been seen as Europe’s most welcoming country to refugees, but observers say that changed in 2015 when the government decided to close its borders.

The election in September of a new government led by the far-right Sweden Democrats has further tightened migration policy.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson’s Moderate Party, the Liberals and the Christian Democrats form Sweden’s new government coalition. But observers say the Sweden Democrats, who have neo-Nazi roots and won the largest number of parliamentary seats, have enormous influence over the coalition and set far-reaching policies on migration and other key issues.

Observers say the Sweden Democrats have further stoked anti-immigrant sentiment over the rising violence, some of which occurred in immigrant communities.

The immigration became the center of the political debate. In the September election, Swedish elect a center-right government coalition that promised a more restrictive immigration policy, like the one advocated by the Sweden Democrats. The new government will start to work in the design of new laws, that will implement a more restrictive immigration policy.

Swedish Police Bust 'Arab' Teens During Gang Rape at Malmo Playground (infowars.com)

DAN LYMAN OCTOBER 28, 2022

The horrifying attacked unfolded at around 11 p.m. on Saturday night in the culturally-enriched city of Malmö.

Officers interrupted a sexual assault in progress at Kungsparken in central Malmö, Expressen reports.

"The police were there on routine patrol and then found these people behaving in a deviant manner and stopped this crime," said police spokeswoman Sara Andersson.

Five suspects, described as 'Arab' by Swedish media, were later taken into custody under suspicion of gang rape.

"Five young men between the ages of 15 and 18 have now been arrested for the crime," Fria Tider reports.

"Four of them have citizenship in Syria and one is registered as stateless."

The victim was identified as an adult female.

All of the suspects reportedly deny any wrongdoing.

"We will hear from the people concerned and are now carrying out a series of technical analyzes to review the sequence of events," District Attorney Kristina Amilon said in a press release.

An investigation is ongoing.
Gang rapes have increased in Sweden since 2015, when mass migration started. According to records provided in 2018, 58% of convicted rapists in Sweden were committed by migrants born outside of Europe. Hopefully the new government would take strong measures to minimize this type of sexual assaults.

‘The idea is to convert permanent residency into Swedish citizenship,’ Migration minister says (thelocal.se)

Sweden's Migration Minister has responded to criticism of the government's proposal to abolish permanent residency, telling an interviewer that the hope is that holders will gain full citizenship rather than get downgraded to temporary status.

“The main idea behind the [Tidö] agreement is that we should convert permanent residency to citizenship,” Maria Malmer Stenergard, from the right-wing Moderate Party, told the Svenska Dagbladet newspaper.”You should not be here forever on a permanent residence permit. A clear path to citizenship is needed.”

I envision that you will receive individual plans for how to achieve this,” she continued. “Learn the language, earn a living, and have knowledge of Swedish society, so that you can fully become a Swedish citizen.”

Malmer Stenergard said it was still unclear whether a planned government inquiry into the possibility of “converting…existing permanent residence permits” would also open the way for those who have been given a permanent right to live in the country to be downgraded to a temporary residency permit.

“We’ll have to look at that,” she said. “There is a problem with positive administrative decisions and changing them, which the Migration Agency’s director general Mikael Ribbenvik has been aware of. We also state in the Tidö Agreement that basic principles of administrative law shall continue to apply.”

It makes a lot of sense what Maria Malmar, Sweden's Migration Minister, says about to convert permanent residents into Sweden’s citizens. To achieve that, “Learn the language, earn a living, and have knowledge of Swedish society, so that you can fully become a Swedish citizen.” Exactly.

STOCKHOLM, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Sixty people have been shot dead in Sweden this year, a record in modern times, the government said on Monday.

Sweden has been hit by an epidemic of shootings in recent years which police and authorities blame on criminal gangs that operate in cities like the capital Stockholm.

"Deadly gun violence has increased and unfortunately has hit a new, bloody record this year," Justice Minister Gunnar Strommer told reporters.

Strommer said Sweden's sixty shooting deaths this year compared to four in Norway, four in Denmark and two in Finland. The deaths are the tip of an iceberg of violence and organized crime that have put down deep roots in parts of society, Strommer said.

Last year, 45 people were shot dead in Sweden. In 2012, the total was 17, according to the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention.

Strommer said the government would now set up a special council within the Justice Ministry to coordinate the fight against gang crime.

"No decent society can accept that someone is shot dead once a week ... on the open street," Strommer said.

Hopefully, the new measures that the government want to set up would reverse the gang violence trend, going from having one of the highest incidents to one of the lowest.

The news comes as asylum applications submitted across the European Union’s 27 member states in 2022 climbed to nearly one million, the highest number recorded since the European migrant crisis of 2015.

Robert Semonsen — February 7, 2023

The Swedish Migration Agency has lowered its forecast for the number of migrants it expects to apply for asylum in 2023 and 2024, the government agency wrote in a press release published on Monday, February 6th.

“In recent years, we have seen that an ever-lower proportion of asylum seekers in Europe are applying to Sweden. We are therefore adjusting down the forecasts for 2023 and beyond,” said Annika Gottberg, the director of planning at the Swedish Migration Agency.

The government agency projects that approximately 16,000 people will seek asylum in Sweden in 2023 and 2024, which compared to the prior forecast, represents 2,000 and 3,000 fewer asylum seekers than had been expected for the years 2022 and 2023, respectively.

In the September 2022 election immigration became the center of the political debate. As the asylum applications increase across the E.U., the Swedish Migration Agency forecasts lower number of asylum seekers in 2023and 2024. This is due mainly to new legislation that tighten the migration policy to reduce the number of migrants. The new government is delivering in its promise.

A known criminal yelling Islamic slogans was arrested for stabbing a young girl in an unprovoked attack in Sweden this week, according to reports.

The horrifying incident unfolded on Thursday afternoon in the culturally-enriched city of Gothenburg.

Police were called to Brunnsparken, a square in the city center, where they found a 10-year-old girl suffering from serious wounds to her abdomen and "large pools of blood" on the ground, Götesborgs-Posten reports.

A 35-year-old male of "Arab appearance" who reportedly yelled "Allah akbar" before the stabbing was detained by Good Samaritans and taken into custody by authorities.

"The child was bleeding from the stomach, according to reports from the scene," police spokesman Thomas Fuxborg told Swedish media.

"Passing-by youths are said to have brought the perpetrator to the ground, before guards and security guards also intervened. Then there was also an off-duty police officer who intervened."

Fewer Swedes Call Themselves Liberals, Feminists as More Switch to
Igor Kuznetsof
March 13, 2023

Swedish pundits have ascribed the decline of liberalism and feminism to a news cycle dominated by wars, crime and crises ranging from energy to the economy. They even ventured that the liberal project is "no longer dominant," with the public debate moving into the opposite direction.

Fewer Swedish voters see themselves as liberals now compared to a year ago, a survey made by pollster Ipsos on behalf of Swedish media has shown.

A year ago, 31 percent of Swedish voters called themselves liberals, a figure that has now dropped to merely 26 percent.

The development is particularly clear among the ruling Moderates' voters, signaling a change of heart. In a single year, the percentage of self-professed liberals has fallen from 46 to 35 percent. At the same time, the proportion of Moderate voters who call themselves conservatives has increased to a corresponding degree, signaling that the party is returning to its roots, as it has long been the largest right-of-center force in the Nordic country.

Sweden will review ways to increase voluntary return migration, Migration Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard announced on Wednesday, which the opposition considers yet another illustration of the far-right’s influence on the Swedish government.

In a new demonstration of Sweden’s more rigid stance on immigration, Stenergard declared on Wednesday that The Swedish Migration Board (Migrationsverket) has been tasked with reviewing how to increase voluntary return migration.

“Return has been a poorly treated area in Swedish politics, and the Swedish Migration Board has not focused on it. We want to see a change in this area,” Stenergard told Dagens Nyheter. The Swedish government targets the large groups that have come to Sweden in recent decades and who, according to Stenergard, have not managed to integrate into Swedish society.

In 2021, 20% of the Swedish population (two million people) was born abroad, and 33% of the Swedish population has at least one parent born abroad, according to the Swedish Office of Statistics.

According to the Swedish Office of Statistics, in 2021, 20% of the 10 million Swedish population was born abroad, and 33% of the Swedish population has at least one parent born abroad. Base on the statistics, the voluntary return migration meaning that those that have not integrated into society will be cooperating in their returned to their own country of origin. That seems like a logic way to address the migration problem, beside discouraging migrants to come to Sweden.

Violence against paramedics in Sweden's capital city has surged in recent years, according to reports.

Emergency medical responders in Stockholm are facing increasing threats to their personal safety and even their lives.

The number of documented incidents involving attacks on ambulance personnel has tripled over the past five years, rising from 21 to 67.

"These include threats with a gun, death threats, punches and kicks, and staff being physically prevented from leaving a site," Sveriges Radio reports.

Mounting insecurity has coincided with the ongoing influx of migrants from non-European countries.

"It's unique, and it's something that has grown over the years. We have quite a few incidents that are not supposed to be a dangerous job to go to, but which become dangerous for us," ambulance nurse Fredrik Segerblad told the Swedish state broadcaster.

Segerblad, who has worked as an EMT in Stockholm for 10 years, says dangerous circumstances can severely impact responders' abilities to help injured people.

"When the incident itself happens, you almost feel a bit cold or empty inside. How you feel about the event comes afterwards, when you can breathe," he explained

Police and emergency crews are frequently ambushed in Western European nations, particularly in migrant enclaves and 'no-go' zones where assailants draw little distinction between cops and first responders.
Violence against paramedics is a difficult problem to solve. The Parliament needs to develop a strategist to reduce violence in migrant neighborhood where most of the violence occurred.

SWEDEN: NEW SYSTEM FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS

Nordic Africa News (nanews.net)
Posted by admin on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 ·

The interim report of an inquiry focusing on a new system for asylum seekers’ accommodation in Sweden was circulated today for consultation.

Minister for Migration Maria Malmer Stenergard says “The proposals that are now going out for consultation aim to streamline the asylum process.

“Among other things, it is proposed that the entire asylum process be concentrated within asylum accommodation. The proposals are now being thoroughly analysed and I look forward to hearing the views of the consultation bodies.”

The inquiry proposes that all asylum seekers, with the exception of unaccompanied minors, be required to live in government accommodation and attend an introduction to Swedish society during the asylum process.

Living in asylum accommodation would be a condition for receiving a daily allowance and special grant and for exemption from the work permit requirement.

Good conduct in asylum accommodation would also be a condition for receiving the daily allowance.

The inquiry also proposes that asylum seekers not living in asylum accommodation be required to inform the Swedish Migration Agency of their residential address.

The agency should be able to assume that any who do not provide this information have withdrawn their asylum application, meaning that their asylum case would be dismissed.

“This is a welcome step in the right direction, but more is needed. In the future, the entire processing time will be spent in special accommodation centres, which will make it more difficult for applicants to undertake undeclared work or abscond, and simplify returns”, says Ludvig Aspling, migration policy spokesperson for the Sweden Democrats.

Asylum seekers would also be legally required to attend an introduction to Swedish society.

Completing the introduction to Swedish society would be a condition for exemption from the work permit requirement.

“This is an important first step in creating a better asylum reception system. The inquiry will also receive supplementary terms of reference to further improve reception”, says Ms Malmer Stenergard.

The inquiry proposes that the legislative amendments enter into force on 1 April 2024. However, for individuals who are registered in the reception system on that date, a number of the provisions will not apply until 1 April 2025.

The proposed asylum seekers accommodations looks like a first step in the right direction to solve the migration problem.

Better service to employers who hire highly qualified workers will reduce processing times at the Swedish Migration Agency and thus contribute to a competitive Sweden.

In the budget and policy specification for 2023, the Swedish Migration Agency received a mandate to promote highly qualified labour immigration. In order to fulfil this task and to overhaul the entire work permit process, the Swedish Migration Agency has decided to introduce a new model for handling work permit cases and to establish international recruitment units. In particular, the new model promotes the recruitment of employers seeking to hire highly qualified workers from outside the EU, but it also aims to shorten the processing time for all labour market cases.

"A well-functioning process for labour immigration is important for companies to be able to recruit, grow and invest in Sweden", says Mikael Ribbenvik, Director-General of the Swedish Migration Agency.

Here is a piece of one day old news. The Swedish Ministry of Education said yesterday that 54% of children in Swedish schools have a language other than Swedish as their main language at home. It is suggested that this accounts for the fall in reading skills; Sweden is now one of the worst performing European countries in this area.

Mass immigration into Sweden has been a disaster in many respects.

STOCKHOLM (AP) — A shooting outside Stockholm left two people dead and two others wounded, police said Monday, in what appears to be a feud between criminal gangs.

An unidentified foreign man and a teenager were killed in the shooting in Farsta, a suburb south of Sweden’s capital. Two men in their 20s were later arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

A man with an automatic weapon opened fire at around 6 p.m. (1600 GMT) Saturday outside the entrance to a subway station and struck four people. A 15-year-old boy died shortly after of his wounds, with the second victim, a 43-year-old man, dying later.

Justice Minister Gunnar Strommer said Sunday that police believe that a total of 21 shots had been fired and described the shooting as “domestic terrorism.”

One of those wounded was a woman in her 60s who was unlocking her bicycle. She told Swedish public radio that she heard about five shots. “Oh, I’ve been shot in the knee,” she told SR and added that she was bleeding, sought shelter behind a wall and yelled at others to call for help. She wasn’t identified.

Criminal gangs have become a growing problem in Sweden in recent decades, with an increasing number of drive-by shootings, bombings and grenade attacks. Most of the violence is taking place in Sweden’s three largest cities: Stockholm, Goteborg and Malmo.

The government has vowed “to tackle gang-related crime by tightening laws.” It is definitely a good step in the right direction by the government, since criminal gangs commit most of the crimes.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson publicly denounced his country’s poor management of immigration this week in a landmark opinion piece for the Swedish daily newspaper Aftonbladet.

The article is just the latest sign of a political volte face in the Scandinavian country’s infamous immigration outlook, but one that makes sense with respect to Kristersson’s Moderate Party’s electoral pact with the right-wing Sweden Democrats, in place since 2022.

In an article titled “Three Things are Required to Put Sweden Back Together,” Kristersson lays out a radical reform to his nation’s immigration policies outlining his wish to see Swedish migration policy become the strictest in Europe.

While not denouncing immigration entirely, Kristersson stresses the need to update integration policies and clamp down on bogus asylum seekers clogging up the country. Kristersson also calls for new citizenship tests that prioritize knowledge of the Swedish language among new arrivals, in the hope of reducing the number of refugees excluded from Swedish society.

Prime Minister Kristersson says: “large-scale immigration and poor integration simply do not work.” In his opinion piece, he mention 3 things required. First migrants need to reside in Sweden before they are eligible to apply for citizenship. Second, in Sweden, gender equality prevails. Third, prioritize knowledge of the Swedish language among new arrivals. They are very reasonable steps to approach the immigration problem.

(335) Why A Muslim Protester In Sweden Did Not Burn The Torah & Bible Despite Permission | Quran Protest - YouTube

A protestor who had been given permission by Swedish authorities to burn the Torah and the Bible outside the Israeli embassy has abandoned his plan. Ahmad Alloush instead held a demonstration against desecrating holy books in Stockholm on July 15. He explained that he could never burn a holy book and only wanted to hold a demonstration against it. Watch the video to find out didn't the protestor burn the Quran despite getting the permission?
Ahmad Alloush is a brave and good man that has made a big impact. He says that “What I wanted to show is that it’s not right to do that.” Because Sweden freedom of speech law allowed to burn holly books, it does not mean that it is right to do so. Freedom is also a responsibility, and should take into account the freedom of others too. The majority of Sweden people support a ban on the public burning of religious books.

The Swedish government is proposing to tighten the immigration requirements for family members of foreign residents residing in the country.

Such a proposal has been made in an effort to reduce immigration to the country as there has been a lack of integration in recent years, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

Commenting on the planned changes, the Migration Minister of Sweden, Maria Malmer Stenergard, said that measures are necessary and, at the same time, stressed that the country is currently dealing with major challenges related to the inclusion of migrants into society.

“Extensive immigration in recent years combined with a lack of integration has contributed to Sweden facing major challenges with growing exclusion. In order to break and reverse the development, a series of measures need to be taken,” the statement of Minister Stenergard reads.

STOCKHOLM (AP) — An Eritrea-themed cultural festival in a Stockholm suburb took a violent turn on Thursday when about a thousand anti-Eritrean government protesters stormed the event, leaving at least 52 people injured, Swedish media reported.

The protesters set booths and vehicles ablaze, sending smoke billowing into the sky. Swedish newspaper Expressen reported that up to a thousand protesters marched towards the festival grounds, pushing past police cordons and using sticks and rocks as weapons.

Swedish police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl told The Associated Press that “between 100 and 200 people have been detained.” A significant police presence is still at the scene and investigations are underway, he said.

Sweden is home to tens of thousands of people with Eritrean roots. The festival devoted to the cultural heritage of Eritrea is an annual event that has been held since the 1990s but has been criticized for allegedly serving as a promotional tool and source of money for the African nation’s government, according to Swedish media.

Seems that conflict between Eritrean regime supporters and their opponents, cause the attack at the cultural festival. According to the Sweden media, the festival “has been criticized for allegedly serving as a promotional tool and source of money for the African nation’s government.” Human rights describe Eritrea as one of the world’s most repressive countries.
