As in the Rittenhouse case, the jury got it correct.

Those men hunted down that man on an assumption. Even most Conservatives agree.

Hopefully it is the death penalty for the shooter, life without parole for his father, and life without parole for the driver. Of course, I do not know if the prosecution was going for the death penalty in this case.

The nearly all-white jury convicted Travis McMichael of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and criminal attempt to commit a felony.

Gregory McMichael and William Bryan were acquitted of the top charge. All now face up to life in prison.

They face a minimum sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole.

They also face the death penalty.

All three men face possible death sentences or life imprisonment with or without the possibility of parole.

I disagree, ecofarm. Some people need to be permanently excised from the human race. Especially in cases of heinous murder.

Would have been the same outcome even if they hadn't pointed the weapon at him. A civilian detaining another citizen who is not actively engaged in a crime while armed is committing armed assault with a deadly weapon, even if the firearm is not pointed at the victim. The victim has the right to kill in self-defense in that scenario. The perpetrators do not.
