Since there are 800,000 federal workers working without pay and the number not working: we have to ask how good is your credit rating when Trump says: the government can be shut down for months or even years?
 
If this is not over in two months, at least one of those federal workers will probably try to assassinate Trump.

A lot of people are going to be in a world of hurt. A lot of people are going to see losses to their credit ratings, at a minimum. Many are one paycheck away from insolvency and I think odds are good that some will even be thrown into homelessness.

Add that to the veterans who have been thrown into homelessness because of the VA not getting their GI Bill funds to colleges in time for housing and tuitions charges. (This is already happen because the VA can't get its tech act together, and it will get worse.)

A lot of bad things are going to happen with federal employees at ground zero.

The important thing is that Trump gave himself and his buddies a huge tax break, so they have nothing to worry about.

Why would Trump possibly care about what happens to anyone else, so long as he gets his way? That's Trump's basic character on display.

But hey, he donates to charity a fraction of how much he makes taxpayers fork over for his golf junkets, so those federal workers shouldn't be whining about missing a couple thousand dollars.
