That's just it. BLM doesn't give a **** about black lives. Far more blacks have been harmed by the BLM movement than all police incidents added together.

At least 13 police officers were injured as the violence claimed an estimated $65 million in property damage. Ariel Atkins, a BLM organizer, called the looting 'reparations'. 'I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats,' Atkins said. 'That makes sure that person has clothes. 'Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance.'

They are shooting themselves if the foot here. There was lots of support for change and progress, but if they start promoting looting and violence they're going to lose everything they could have gained. After Floyd's death, even his family had came out and condemned the rioting and looting. The rioting and looting was mostly scavengers and crooks looking for free stuff or an excuse for crime. Many of the protesters were peaceful and many of the protests were peaceful and people wanted change.

But if the organizations start to come out in actual defense of the looting, as appears to be the case here (it is Fox News, so probably gotta take it with a grain of salt), it's going to undo any sympathy that they had and any call for change that we do need. It's ****ing dumb for this chapter itself to make excuses for the looting and violence.

I disagree. I get what they stand for and I support them. Though in any worthy organization, occasionally someone says something idiotic (or makes a statement that is taken out of context) that the opposition uses as ammo. I don't agree with what this particular woman said and it is not going to help further their cause in the long run.

I watched her statement via NBC. Unfortunately she did say that. I agree, they're shooting themselves in the foot here.
