You or I would be in cuffs by now.

"Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY), the committee's chairwoman, asked the National Archives and Records Administration for a detailed description of the contents of 15 boxes recovered from Trump's Mar-A-Lago resort -- some of which are so top-secret they couldn't even be described without compromising their security, reported the Washington Post."

I'm no expert on classification, but I thought I've heard the highest classification uses unique codewords specific to a group of documents with the people given those codewords specific people who need access. Like, "John, Bill, and Wanda get the code word to access the documents". So the actual names of those groups of documents is secret.

Heck, if I remember, the existence of a big agency used to be classified - the NSA, referred to informally as "No Such Agency".

It sounds like Special Access Program (SAP) stuff. Even the existence of some of these SAPs is considered classified. That makes it difficult for the media to talk about them in much detail. --

Trump is probably too lazy to take all of those pictures himself, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he ordered one of his stooges to do this. He is so hard up for money, I'm sure he wouldn't hesitate at all to turn over some of those pictures to the Russians or Chinese.

This is exactly why so many people were concerned about Trump and his idiot family having security clearances in the first place.

It's probably a code word that is classified so some dimwitted congress person would never be given that information. There are many code word programs.

It's a need to know. Trump had every clearance because of being the president.
Actually he is the final authority to release classified material.
Don't forget he had a SCIF in Florida because he spent time there as president.

The only silver lining I could find in giving Tweety a security clearance is that if space aliens had ever visited us, there's no way that he could have kept that secret. IMO, his presidency proves that we aren't being visited by aliens and that Oswald was most likely the lone assassin of Kennedy.

Giving certain information code names unrelated to the contents allows for questions like "Is he cleared for CHess MAtch BLue?" without compromising security. Using this for all most things prevents knowing which is really critical just by knowing it has a code name.

In some instances, even the code name itself is considered classified. This is known as an unacknowledged Special Access Program (SAP).

An unacknowledged SAP makes it impossible for the media to even mention the name of the program because the name itself is classified.

Two types of SAP exist—acknowledged and unacknowledged. The existence of an acknowledged SAP may be publicly disclosed, but the details of the program remain classified. An unacknowledged SAP (or USAP) is made known only to authorized persons, including members of the appropriate committees of the United States Congress.

Trump probably had unacknowledged SAP documents in his possession, which is about as bad as it gets when it comes to mishandling classified information. If he shared this information with anyone who is not cleared for it, that is a major security violation.

The last thing I read, which might have been a joke, that Trump took towels, bed linens and even silverware from the White House.

Par for the course.

Surely any document or secret he and his people ever laid their little grubby hands on would be considered compromised.

Remember his enemy is the deep state and putin is his friend.

I have not heard he declassified the materials he took when he left the white house, have you? Does he need a scif as an ex president?

A lame excuse to justify his reckless behavior. Really pitiful.

I've heard no indication that any of those boxes were being stored in a SCIF. And even if they were being stored in a SCIF, there are courier procedures for transporting classified documents across the country and I seriously doubt any of those procedures were followed.
