If White Conservatives Loved All People The Way They Do Embryos



Once the baby is born, the "prolife" movement picks and chooses which babies' lives matters and which do not.

Immigrants fleeing hellish conditions for a chance at a new life? They don't matter.
Babies born into deep poverty? They don't matter.
Babies in abusive households? They don't matter.
LGBTQs? They don't matter. Especially Ts and Qs.

And so on, and so forth. Have you ever noticed how the people who claim to be devout supporters of the lives of babies are remarkably opposed to any kind of policy that would increase the survivability of babies once they leave the womb? Why this hypocrisy, anti-choicers?
 

People who oppose abortion also oppose the killing of innocent humans after they're born.

People who oppose abortion SHOULD oppose killing them after birth. However, ask them to actually do anythimg to help these children and it seems they don't.

I don't agree with pro-lifers in any way, but sorry, this is a terrible argument. It's kind of like whataboutism, as much as I hate that term.

As far as I know, there isn't a single white conservative that thinks it's okay to kill people without some external justification, so you can't use their opinion on that subject with respect to "all people" to make an argument regarding their proposed treatment of embyros.
 

You realize how silly that sounds right? without some "external justification"? That could mean anything. Basically you are excusing the killing of a life as long as some other person deems it ok.
 
Just to reel some back in; the author of the post doesn't mean that the right picks and chooses who to kill after birth. What the author is referring to is how the right will demand a child be born, any child, but when it comes to society to help the parents raise the child when needed...the right walks away and complains about their money being used to help raise the children of others. And most of the children that the right walks away from are the ones that the author listed.

They will make all sorts of excuses (bad ones) to not act in accordance of what the Bible even tells them to do: help out. Instead, quite often they blame the parents for having marital sex and getting pregnant as a result and not ready to have a baby or worse, a single mother gets slut-shamed. Remember when that one politician said that if women practiced holding as aspirin between their knees they won't get pregnant? Or how about the time that Jesse Helms claimed that women can't get pregnant by rape?

Personally, I have no liking to abortion outside of rape, incest and medical reasons. But if as a society, we demand the baby to be born...and as a society, make no effort to make sure that it is provided for when needed...then I can't see how you can advocate an end to abortion.

And there is another point to consider. If you walk away after the baby is born, and you leave it to the vicious cycle of unprepared/too young parents, a lack of education and opportunities and proper nutrition as well as most of these babies are born into poverty...that life is horrible. And creates the problems all over again. So, basically, if you demand the child to be born and you wash your hands of it afterwards, you are contributing the ongoing problems of race and poverty. You are complicit in the very problems you wish to go away.

So, in the end, the vast majority of pro-lifers are really pro-birth. Because if you are really pro-life, you would do a better job of living up to the standards that Jesus put on us to make ourselves and our neighbors to be good human beings than to leave the child to a heartless void of love and care...because it takes money out of your wallet.

So why are they usually war supporters? Conservatives want wars and liberals know better than to kill innocent civilians who did nothing to us.

The right can make the same argument. They can say the left won’t even give the baby a chance. They can say the left claims to be the compassionate ones but kills babies.
I’m pro choice, because there are too many unwanted babies that are being raised by incompetent parents.

I don't really think this is correct. Conservatives are the most charitable of all groups, and they're most likely to develop groups that help the poor. Plus, they're most likely to adopt babies from third world nations. The difference is that they advocate doing their own charity work, while liberals groups advocate that the government do it.
