Violence continued to spiral out of control on Saturday in and around Washington Square Park, where anti-cop graffiti was scrawled on its arch, a man was beaten and robbed of his cellphone, two others knifed in a wild brawl and an elderly cook left bloodied after a vicious morning attack at a neighborhood diner.
The chaos around the Greenwich Village park left at least six injured and a 27-year-old charged with felony assault, as residents and law enforcement alike pleaded for an end to the anarchy.
“The perps run this town,” one disgusted NYPD source told The Post in the wake of the latest madness. “It is scary to walk around New York City streets. It has gotten so bad that daylight doesn’t scare the bad guys.”

This level of chaos in NYC is new to me.
Which parts do you think didn't happen?I would take the Post's reporting with a large measure of salt.
I would take the Post's reporting with a large measure of salt. What are rational news outlets reporting?
Not much, as it turns out. Here's a view that seems more rational and measured: The wrong way to police Washington Square Park: How things got so bad (NY Daily News). An opinion written by a 20+ year senior cop, no less.
In fact, the perps run all the cities of this country.“The perps run this town,” one disgusted NYPD source told The Post in the wake of the latest madness.
Yes...the "rational" media does it's best to turn a blind eye to everything that is happening across the nation. Unfortunately for them, everyone has a cellphone with a camera now, so we all get to see what's going on.I would take the Post's reporting with a large measure of salt. People in Bum****, Flyover grow the food and raise the animals that go on your table every day.Another thread where a bunch of righties sit around in Bum*****, Flyover, furiously proclaiming that blue areas that carry the country are actually destroyed?
Well, apparently, according to you, NYC is "destroyed", so I doubt they are buying food from anywhere....People in Bum****, Flyover grow the food and raise the animals that go on your table every day.
If only James Madison could see this neighborhood today he would be proud of the country we’ve become! Why would it scare you? This is what you want. This is what you voted for. This is tolerance. This is acceptance. This is diversity. This is the type of freedom that best exemplifies America and American values. This is what progressive politics is all about. This is people tearing off the chains of oppression and exercising their right to peaceful protest and free speech. It's exactly what MLK and Ghandi wanted for us all and the youth of today are finally realizing the dream! Rise up with them and celebrate!
Is LA “bf flyover” in your opinion?Another thread where a bunch of righties sit around in Bum*****, Flyover, furiously proclaiming that blue areas that carry the country are actually destroyed?
Oh so true, however the distance from any major city and the daily download from rabid right blogs warps the world view. False claims from the MAGA crowd have an echo chamber out here. Making money providing food- more and more farms are corporate managed- doesn't give anyone special insight into anything in Blue States.People in Bum****, Flyover grow the food and raise the animals that go on your table every day.
