nah, I don't wonder why people watch porn, ain't none of my business..... and the fact that folks are addicted to porn pretty much says it is, or can be, a health issue
most of us like our porn, and most of us can agree it's also has some negative health effects... there's really nothing in this declaration that's controversial at all....and yet, here we are, pretending it is.
I don't really care that people attack legal things... I only really pitch a fit when they take substantive action against them...... words are cheap, actions are everything.

If you wanted to be a successful high school football coach and a local high school had a very successful championship program for many year running - do you think you just might study how they do things there and copy what you can and implement it into your program?

Why is it that people dismiss some of the amazing stats for Utah with "oh - never mind - they are Mormons"..... or some such waive of the hand.

I distinctly remember going to a union educational conference in DC where the speaker said that the two greatest indicators of student achievement were per pupil spending and class size. Of course, Utah had to be excluded since it was in the bottom 20% in both categories and near the top in achievement.

I agree with the resolution and I agree with Utah passing it. Pornography is a health hazard.

I just don't support doing anything about it as far as governmental restrictions go. I would happily support educational efforts to convince people to stop consuming porn.

however, latter day saints do tend to be very family oriented

if i attend a scouting function with a LDS church based group, those kids and leaders will be squared away, without exception. and yes, they do tend to be square

I used to participate in a church softball league in my younger days, and we had a team of LDS in the league. You're right about the sqareness, it was almost unnerving to play against them, they showed no emotion whatsoever...was as if we were playing against a team of mediocre softball playing robots.

FLDS has been around a long time, are NOT part of the LDS faith, but an off-shoot of it...

LDS are not robots, but do tend to be boring compared to "normal" folk, or what is
deemed to be normal. In my Navy days, it appeared that you had to smoke a lot, drink a lot, and whore a lot to
be considered normal, but all that was overblown, most sailors are pretty much like civilians when it comes to life-styles.
As a non-drinker, I was considered anti-social just because I didn't care to spend my off time drinking with the boys.
I preferred to spend time with my family....
