President Donald Trump said the FBI "may have to" help arrest Texas Democratic lawmakers to their home state after more than 50 fled to block a Republican redistricting plan that could flip five U.S. congressional seats.
"A lot of people are demanding they come back. You can't just sit it out. You have to go back," Trump said at an Aug. 5 press event.

It appears Donald Trump is willing to put the weight of the Federal Government into forcing the upcoming election his way.

J.B. Pritzker better buckle-up.

Aren't people free to travel when and where they wish in the United States? Do you give up that right when you join the Texas legislature? Are Texas civil warrants enforceable outside Texas? I think not.

You may note:

And that lazy eyed freak Paxton is trying to get the Dems seats legally deemed abandoned. Knowing the subhumans that infest the courts down in Texas, they'll likely get their way.

When the subhuman GOP is ripped out of power, Texas needs to be seized federally until they can prove they aren't christian nationalist terrorists hell bent on fascism and ending any form of democracy.

That doesn't really seem to warrant FBI involvement.
I don't think there's anything to preclude them from assisting if it's been requested, but that assistance would be pretty limited. If memory serves, the last time this happened, some of the Texas Democrats tried to sneak back into the state to handle business, so the "may have to" might be something like alerting state officials that a plane with someone they're looking for has landed in Texas.

Is the King on his Iron Throne going to dispatch the King's men to find and capture the runaway commoners, so as to be bound in chains and carted to the to land of Texas? Will there be a parade of the captives down constitution avenue, their iron cages mounted on wooden carts, pulled by native borne animals, white the MAGA crowds throw tariffed vegetables at these sinister refuseniks?
