IMO it's for the best. China is so far from Maos China it's not even funny. US business is so tied to China it's almost impossible to have a war now.

The deal is this. Strike a agreement with the Shanghai clique and have them abandon Communism completely. Taiwan will be given a window to reunify as Taiwanese government joins the newly reformed Chinese one and ROC generals fit into the ranks of the mainland army.

Great idea. I strongly recommend that you travel to mainland China ASAP to present this proposal. Indeed, I am disappointed that you are posting it on some rando website when you could instead be in flight to China to meet with the senior-most CCP leadership.

Last I checked the US was at peace with China? Did I miss the whole war again?
China is still officially at war with Taiwan and the US has pledged support if China continues by invading the island

What makes you think the Shanghai clique has enough power and what makes you think they would make any such agreement? What makes you think the Taiwanese government has any desire to join this "reformed Chinese one"?

Xi is not part of that group and HE controls China. Not the Shanghai clique.

And, probably the biggest question: What makes you think the Biden administration has the competence to make such a thing happen...even in the unlikely event they wanted such a thing to happen?

Shanghai clique is not in power no but they control a lot of the economy and tech. Give it some time. Many in China don't even take Communism seriously anymore. Xi can't arrest everybody

The KMT supports reunification. They make up a lot of the ROC s military brass.

I want peace. Who doesn't want to gang up and depose the Marxists.

China is not really at war with Taiwan because China considers Taiwan...China.

LOL thats never gonna happen. The CCP would rather wipe out most of its citizens than loosen its grip on power.

How are things in Fairy Tale Land? Is Chairman Mao handing out stocking stuffers? Is Stalin dealing candy canes? Maybe Chairman Xi won't call out the tanks this year.

REMEMBER TIANANMEN SQUARE!

LOL, you should head right over there and tell them you will "allow" them to do this.

First of all, while the PRC is a dictatorship led by a party called The Communist Party, there's barely any Communism left. The Chinese economy is basically State Capitalism, as in Capitalism with heavy State involvement. But their 5 year-plans are not these binding documents you have to follow down to the tiniest detail anymore, and barely say anything at all other than: "profit would be nice" nowadays. And private enterprise is legal enough, you need permission from the government, but before it just wasn't something that existed. And there is a rich industrialist/ financial elite in China now, whose powerbase is built on economic power rather then rising through the bureaucracy, instead these entrepeneurs walk past the bureaucratic line directly into the offices of the party officials, where they give bribes.

So not really a Communist system, there is a saying that China ditched the proletariat but kept the dictatorship.

I doubt Taiwan would want to rejoin even a Post PRC China.

And Taiwan says no

Called it.

China should abandon atheistic Communism at return to tradition and religion

You're barking up the wrong tree.
