Last week, I heard a story on MSNBC that the US was making a move to take out bin Laden, and posted it, without a link, in this forum. What happened afterwards was a mystery until today. MSNBC never followed up on it's story, and there was absolutely nothing more in the news, either from the mediawhores or the internet. MSNBC, after making a special report, had clammed up completely.

Soon after, there were stories about Pakistan claiming that the US did not have the right to move troops into their country, then we have Cheney visiting Pakistan. Finally, we now find out that the trail of bin Laden is not cold. We seem to know where he is, and are now sending quite a few CIA agents into the area.

At this point, I can only say one thing.....

Take out the bastard.

Why can't our spies ever do something without a media report on it anymore?? I prefer our covert ops people to be doing things without everybody knowing about it....

Now let's make sure to get the worlds approval before we take him out!

Here's your chance to put me in my place.

Although this is very hypcritical of me, when it comes to UBL, I can't say I would be against him being capped by anyone, anytime in any place.

Ok why is a news outlet basically telling OBL what we are planning? WTF!!!! It is as stupid as when we told Saddam when we were coming.

How did the news outlet get the information? Seems to me, the person responsible should be the one who leaked the information. As for the media outlet, what did you expect? It's like the story of "the Scorpion and the Frog".

It would be more tactical if everyone got to see him rot away in an orange jumpsuit for the rest of his life. Put him in a cell with Manson.

Why? Because he was the mastermind of 911, and because of that, he needs to be brought to justice, dead or alive. Jeez.....

Im aware of that im just wondering if its worth focusing that many resources on getting one guy when it will do next to nothing to prevent further attacks.

So why go after criminals at all if there'll always be crime?

Im not saying we shouldnt go after him

No. You just said we shouldn't focus that many resources on him. Perhaps if he turns himself in, then it would be worth it? Who are you to say that 4000 victims aren't worth however millions(billions?) of dollars we are spending to get their killer? Do you not have any respect for life?

I think your reading into this slightly:roll:

My guess is that Bin Laden has been dead for a very long time. If there is a merc force in Pakistan, they are NOT after Bin Laden.

What I don't understand, is why the Government would announce they had sent spies into pakistan to kill Bin Lauden. why would they warn, Bin Lauden?

I think is just publicity BS. We should have taken out Bin Lauden out a long time ago. He is a dog who deserves to die.
