US SoS Mike Pompeo and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Trump administration has sanctioned 17 Saudi officials for their alleged involvement in the killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, the first economic penalties from the U.S. over the brutal murder that has spawned a diplomatic crisis. The 17 individuals, the U.S said, are the 15-man hit squad that traveled to Turkey to carry out the operation, the Saudi consul general in Istanbul, Turkey, where the killing took place, and a senior adviser to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. It's the same list of people that the Saudis themselves have blamed and arrested for the killing, which the Saudi government at first denied, then called an accident, before labeling it a rogue operation. The 17 were also among the 21 Saudi officials that the U.S. already revoked or banned U.S. visas for.

MBS skates free like a fat cat. It is inconceivable that the Saudi hit on journalist Jamal Khashoggi was planned and implemented without his express knowledge and orders.

Think the Trump administration has reached rock-bottom yet? Think again.....

To ease Turkish pressure on Saudis over killing, White House weighs expelling Erdogan foe

We don't really ever go hard against the Saudi's though. Won't someone please think of the oil!

CIA believes Saudi crown prince ordered journalist's killing: sources

11/16/18
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The CIA believes Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul, sources familiar with the matter said on Friday, complicating President Donald Trump’s efforts to preserve ties with a key U.S. ally. The sources said the CIA had briefed other parts of the U.S. government, including Congress, on its assessment, which contradicts Saudi government assertions that Prince Mohammed was not involved. The CIA’s finding, first reported by the Washington Post, is the most definitive U.S. assessment to date tying Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler directly to the killing.

It's obvious to anyone even casually following this assassination that MBS was involved up to his keffiyeh.
