he United States Senate has unanimously approved a bill to make lynching a federal crime in the country.

Three black senators introduced the bill in June to allow lynching to be charged as a hate crime alongside existing crimes such as murder.

It's about time. Lynchings are almost never prosecuted.

IMO, state-sanctioned executions should be available on Pay-for-View & the proceeds used to pay down the national debt.

When does this go into effect, I wonder? If you have any lynching to do, better get it done pretty soon!

Wiat... Huh?

Lynching a person is to hang them by the neck until dead for crime(s) they were never tried and convicted of.... also known as murder.

You mean to tell me that until now, that has never been a crime? If all the murderers in prison had know that, they would be free men today.

Historically speaking, lynching is a hell of a lot more than just hanging people by the neck.

Many time black people, especially black men, would be accused of crimes and strung after being beaten. Or they would be strung up and then mutilated, especially genital mutilation, and oftentimes they were set aflame, with people taking pictures of it and turning it into post cards or selling body parts after, with buyers keep them as souvenirs.

You’re missing the point. The legislation is to make lynching a federal hate crime, a whole ‘nother thing from non-race biased/motivated murder. Should have been made a hate crime long ago.
