US officials are livid over how the Biden administration botched the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan - with some saying the US military was rebuffed for wanting a bigger role in helping evacuate Afghans at risk because they worked with the United States, according to Reuters.



Five anonymous US officials told the outlet that "weeks before the Washington-backed Afghan government collapsed, the U.S. military wanted a bigger role in helping to evacuate Afghans at risk because they worked for the United States," adding "The officials believe that a more orderly withdrawal would have been likely."

This was commonly referred to as "the forgotten war" for years. NOT SO FORGOTTEN NOW IS IT.

We will get all the Americans out the want to come out and we will get most of the interpreters and their families out as well. The hyperbole on that shit is already starting to settle.

Besides small arms, how will the Taliban be any stronger for having some vehicles and aircraft that aren’t all that capable to begin with and will be out of order due to lack of spare parts within a few months?

Establishment politicians like forever wars that's who starts them that who perpetuates them. Partisanship around these issues is really kind of funny I remember hearing of daily death count update when George Bush was in office and then nobody said a word afterwards despite the fact that there were still people over there.

Calling this disgrace anything but what it is is really terrible form.

He took responsibility for his actiions and in actions. It's more than can be said for the previous President.

Do you recall Trump celebrating the agreement signed in Doha?

Biden is a 5 deferment "Chicken Hawk" who voted for the wars although he was too "chicken" to actually fight himself when it was his turn to go.
