US military aims to withdraw from Syria by April, Wall Street Journal reports

The US military is preparing to withdraw American forces from Syria by the end of April and a significant portion of them will be out by the middle of March, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing current and former US officials.

A US official confirmed the April target to Reuters, saying the withdrawal included a pull-out from the US military base at Tanf, near the Syrian border with Iraq and Jordan.

...

An official from the Syrian Democratic Forces, the US-backed alliance which is spearheaded by the YPG, told Reuters: “What we know is that so far there is no withdrawal, and the situation on the ground is unchanged. There is no discussion to set any date or time ceiling (for a withdrawal)”.

COMMENT:-

Interesting. Mr. Trump says that the US is going to withdraw "now" but hasn't told its allies what "now" means.

I guess that that means that ISISISISILDAESHWHATEVER doesn't know that the US is going to withdraw and won't do anything smart like "lying low" until the American forces leave.

Whatever happened to the General Trump who said he would never ever telegraph his military moves to the enemy, and who castigated Obama for doing this?

He's now informed three enemies - ISIS/AQ/Taliban - about his plans to withdraw the US military from Syria and Afghanistan asap.

Trump doesn’t even communicate his intentions with his Cabinet. Why would he communicate with our allies?

This was actually a very clever move on Mr. Trump's part.

He knows that almost everyone thinks that he tells lies all of the time, so by saying that the US is leaving he knows that ISISISISILDAESHWHATEVER will assume that the US is staying and that means that ISISISISILDAESHWHATEVER will be completely surprised when the US leaves AND, because ISISISISILDAESHWHATEVER will be so surprised when the US leaves that means that ISISISISILDARSHWHATEVER (which Mr. Trump has already said has been destroyed [and, since ISISISISILDAESHWHATEVER knows that this isn't true that statement only reinforces the strength with which ISISISISILDAESHWHATEVER believes that Mr. Trump always lies]) will be caught completely off guard and the forces of freedom, justice, liberty, and progress will wash away the last remnants of the leadership of Basher Salad's communist regime with its vast stockpiles of WMD.

Right?
