With population growth and that booming Obama stimulus of 842 billion dollars the taxpayers increased all the way to 152 million in January 2017(6 million jobs in 9 years). His economic policies were a disaster except to the radical left that has very low standards. What is absolutely stunning is your inability to understand that jobs returning aren't new taxpayers they are returning taxpayers. He inherited 142 million in January 2009 and in January 2011 it was 139 million, stunning success of an 842 billion stimulus. Never got back to 146 million until mid 2014. Most of those new jobs were federal jobs to handle the census. That means they are temporary positions. From CNBC today....

"Government hiring helped boost the total, with the growth of 344,000 workers accounting for a quarter of the monthly gain. Most of that hiring came from Census workers, whose rolls increased by 328,000."

Using the correct formula, the current number for the US is 5% and for Germany 4%. So therefore if you contract the disease then based on the death to infection rate you would be better off in Germany. Furthermore since you want to use that number as a measure of a country’s effectiveness then Germany’s healthcare system is more effective than ours.

But of course your numbers are all just a poor attempt at deflection.

The REAL question is who is keeping their country safe. That is best measured by looking at deaths per million population. On that basis it is easy to see that Germany is 5 times safer than the US with Germany having 112 deaths per million and the US having 578 deaths per million.

Does it matter? What matters to me is taxpayers not just employment and that seems to be something you refuse to acknowledge. Obama inherited a Democratic Congress and NO budget thus the numbers inherited were what that Democratic Congress gave him, the problem is there were 146 million employed in January -April 2008 and 152 million employed in January 2017, that is 6 million new jobs created and new taxpayers in 9 years regardless of who was President and that is terrible economic results especially at a cost of 9.3 trillion added to the debt
