During testimony before a Senate panel, Ash Carter said "yes" when asked by Sen. Lindsey Graham whether the PYD and its military wing, the YPG, are aligned with the outlawed PKK terror group.
But Sen. Graham contradicted him saying that he was recently in Turkey and the government there is not happy with U.S. support for a terror group.
"They think this is the dumbest idea in the world and I agree with them," Graham said.
US defense chief admits PYD, YPG, PKK link
The PKK is recognised as terrorist organisation by USA, however, PYD is being supported with weapons, and airstrikes by the same USA.
In Syria, The same PYD commits war crimes, does ethnic cleansing in places captured with the help of USA-airstrikes and air-dropeed weapons.
This is against the int. laws, and treachery in NATO.
It is like That a NATO member supports Al-Qaeda terror attacks in USA.
