US constitution - pagan document for pagans
The constitution is nothing but a pagan document worshiped by a bunch of pagans . . . .

a nation under God is not a nation under the Bible. the most important Commandment was the one given by Jesus was it not?

"do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

so would YOU like to be burned for a religion that isnt the burners?
would YOU like to be shunned and condemened for loving a woman?
would you like to keep a baby although you knew you couldnt support it? adoption is a hard option because you are seperated from a child for ever.

personally- I am not Christian, but I know my bible :D

Re: US constitution - pagan document for pagans

Haha of all the un-godly people, the Catholics actually merged pagan holidays with Christian events. Funny how Jesus wasn't born in December, yet August.

Well obviously you are not credible since you are not Christian, the Scriptures say you have no clue what the Scriptures mean. . . . so it appears you don't know "your bible."

I Corinthians 2: 11 For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of man within him? So also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them , because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no man.

Shamgar-or should that be Sean Doc Martin?
What on earth are you talking about?
This is the first time that I have seen the American Constitution called a "pagan document"!
Why do you infer that pagans are in favour of homosexuality and other such perversions? From what I can see the xtian churches have more than their fair share of closet and practicing homosexuals and paeodophiles.
You need to clean up your own religious backyard.

That passage is not saying that we don't know the scriptures. It's saying that we cannot know or comprehend how God does what he does,ie how he communicates with us, how he puts thoughts in our mind, because they are devine methods.

For the rest of you... The Constitution is not a pagan doccument but look at capitol Hill. Every building of importance has statues and depictions of pagan gods and godesses.

You are as credible as a butcher on surgery techniques . . . . just becasue you have the Scriptures in hand doesn't equate that youhave the skills or knowledge to understand them . . . .

Acts 8: 30 And Philip ran there to him and heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said, Do you indeed understand what you are reading? 31 And he said, How can I unless some man should guide me? And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.

Your credibility is ZERO . . . . . .

Silly person I know my own feelings . . . .

. . . . oh you would have to show me FIRST the evidence that real Christians do not throw out their perverts . . . . since you seem to want to compare pseudo Christians with real Christians . . . .

My credibility is a GREAT deal more than yours will ever be. I have read the bible 3 times and I understand a great deal of the scriptures. Your examples were both faulty because YOU misconstrued them. All that second passage means is that Philip who was a MAN taught another MAN what he knew of the scriptures and their meaning. How hypocritical of you to say that we cannot understand the scriptures yet use them in an attempt to support YOUR argument. If Jesus or God did not believe that we had the capacity to understand the bible THEN HE WOULD NOT HAVE TOLD IT'S AUTHORS TO WRITE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. You sir are the one who lacks credibility.

Your "creditials" may impress the simple minded but certainly not me as they are nothing but a smoke screen . . .

. . . . the worldy (you) have no clue what the Scriptures mean since it is a closed book to you . . . .of course since you "understand" the Scriptures you should have found that out after "three times" . . .

Again, it is not a closed book to me, I continue to read verses everyday, I am a Christian, I have been baptised, and I try to behave as the bible commands. I'd sudgest that you read 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 25, 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16, 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 verse 13, etc etc ad infinitum. You have yet to explain why God would command the bible to be written if no one was capable of understanding it.

So . . . just because you got wet doesn't make you a "Christian" . . . . funny you missed that also . . .

Funny how you blatantly ignore the part where I say that I do my best to behave as the bible commands. I don't know why I'm justifying myself to you. It's NOT you who will be judging me when the end times come. YOU will simply be in the crowd of billions who are judged right along with me.

Keep talking as I am having a good time . . . .

1 Cor 6: 1 Do any of you dare, when you have a matter against another, to go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 2 Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels, not to speak of this life?

John chapter 14 verses 5-7 "Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him"

John chapter 17 verses 20-23: "Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me."

Thanks for the out of context Scriptures . . . . next time try to give me verses that actually address the topic . . . . like these:

So what is the point?

I don't get the point of this thread. "The Constitution is a pagan document created by pagan." That is true. So what? We should put it in the shredder? Sorry.

"You say you'll change the constitution, well you know, we all want to change your head."

Re: So what is the point?

Well, my Wiccan friend in America will be happy. It'll give her something to use, to shut up the next simpleton who bothers her. :D

Re: So what is the point?

to the guy who isnt important enough for me to remember his username who said I am not credible.. maybe not.. but I know that that IS a commandment of Jesus- if it is irrelevant to you because it is not in its exact wording, then you my freind, need to get out more. learn to accept that which isnt straight from the "mouth of god" and you may be able to grasp the entire meaning of the reply I made to the original post- the fact that the constitution is (althouh I am not american) an important peice of text, because it is a guaranteed freedom, whether pagan or not.

Guaranteed? By whom . . . . pagans? That is funny . . . . .

what is the point even if you consider the document pagan?

That should not be too hard to figure out . . . . Christians are not to have a pagan document rule over them . . . . and if "Christians" made the document then they weren't really Christians . . . so real Christians have no reason to obey a single word of the worthless scrap of paper. . . .

Right on the button. Guaranteed freedom is a precious thing, and its this worthless peice of paper that prevents anyone legislating against you practising your religion Shamgar, or legislating against us getting together and expressing the opinions we can express on this forum. Pagen or not, I think the constitution is a vital document for the US.

The problem with this and the whole them of thread is in the argument that since the document isn't christian then it must be pagan. This is a false dilemma and completely ignores what the definition of a pagan is on top of that.

A limited number of options (usually two) is given, while in reality there are more options. A false dilemma is an illegitimate use of the "or" operator.
Putting issues or opinions into "black or white" terms is a common instance of this fallacy.

Using that logic, we'll come to:
This board is either Christian or it's Pagan.

Then you throw a post hoc ergo propter hoc into the mix:
The name in Latin means "after this therefore because of this". This describes the fallacy. An author commits the fallacy when it is assumed that because one thing follows another that the one thing was caused by the other.
Using your logic further, we'll get:
Since the board isn't Christian, it must be Pagan.
Therefore, the board is pagan.

When in reality, the board ascribes to no religion and the assumptions made about it are thusly false. Just as the assumptions made above about the Constitution are false. It is not a pagan document nor was it written by pagans.
