I'm sure in a year from now these numbers will be revised upwards by 100,000 jobs. Trump is one of those idiot magical thinkers who assumes everything that goes wrong is everyone else's fault and never his own.

What the hell is Trump talking about? So these numbers aren’t real numbers? Those added unemployed aren’t real people?

And where are next year’s real numbers going to come from, some new factories being built in secret?

I suppose it’s just more deflection from the Epstein files.
 
Maybe Trump should just run with the ADP numbers instead. Shitty, but less so.

After seeing the downward revisions from BLS for prior months, it appears ADP is really not that far off from the reality of where the jobs market is at: in the toilet.

Only 54k jobs added in August, well down from an estimate of 75K. The BLS will release their numbers tomorrow but not sure BLS is a good source at the time being.

Tariffs are having an effect on Uber? Well, there ya go. Tariffs are constricting. They hurt everyone. Only an idiot would base an economy on tariffs. Trump is an idiot.
 
We’re starting to enter a period of AI takeover. Companies are getting rid of their entry level employees and replacing them with AI tools. There needs to be discussion among economists about what job numbers mean, if anything, as a broader economic indicator in that context.
 
Yes, we have to find a way to explain to Americans that the union between the right and techno bros will be creating a permanent recession for certain segments of the country.
