I overheard someone say this yesterday, and it got me thinking.

US delivers more bombs to Israel.

And medical supplies to the people Israel is bombing.

And we are paying for all of it.
sort of sick, isn't it?

Its the dilemna of the US. Israel is an ally. So they support Israel by sending them bombs. Yet the US is generous and cares about other nations so they help the people that their allies hurt.

No, again. A transfer of weapons can be capitalist or socialist or communist or any economic system you can think of. And technically you're not making money off of killing, you're making money off of selling weapons. If you sell someone a car and they run pedestrians over with it, you are not making money by killing. Now if you're a hitman...

Guns can be used to kill people. Just like cars and planes and trees and dogs. Are guns meant to be used to kill people? I don't think that can be argued. A gun is just a tool, like a missile. The fault of a person's death lies in the hands of the one who used it, not the one who sold it.

And in the future, please refrain from personal attacks. It's really not so difficult to be nice.

Guns have many uses. Hunting animals, stress release and defense would be just a few. Missiles act in much the same way, as deterrence. If a nation has enough of them, they don't get messed by other nations. Take as an example, the US. No nation in their right mind would attack us because of our military power. Just having it does not mean we have to use it to kill people, besides the fact that missiles are often used to target infrastructure.

And again with the sarcastic nastiness. It won't kill you to be nice, I swear.

That's the biggest problem with history right there. We never know what hasn't happened. I can't tell you how many times a particular country having missiles deterred another from attacking, because it's a negative that is not recorded. It does happen though (or not as the case were). A criminal will be much less likely to break into someone's house if he knows they have a gun. Likewise, a nation will rarely antagonize another with superior fire power. Leaders don't start wars they aren't sure about winning.

Well, I didn't say it wouldn't take a lot of planning for you to use a tree to kill someone. I mean, we're talking massive amounts of physics knowledge at a minimum. Of course, you could always hoist the tree above them and wait till they pass...
