Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo............... Looks like we got some real good games in the very near future.

In the NFC:

Seattle at Chicago
Philadelphia at New Orleans

In the AFC:

New England at San Diego
Indianapolis at Baltimore

There is no question the Eagles are going to beat the snot out of the Saints.

Chicago should beat Seattle, but hopefully somehow they dont.

Either way, I am going for the Eagles all the way.

AFC I think has the toughest games of them all. I could see any game going either way.

I think Baltimore and SanDiego should win, but again.... I wouldnt be suprised if either of them lost.

San Diego / Eagles Bowl Eagles ftw.

Seattle at Chicago... This one could get bloody... I'll have to go with Chicago.
Eagles verses Saints... I'll go the underdog New Orleans.

As for the AFC... I agree Baltimore and Chargers.

I will defy all logic and say ultimately... Saints vs. Chargers

Ok...here's my prediction...

The Eagles will beat the Saints so bad that they'll call it Katrina II...

In a bold and unprecedented move, Chicago coach Lovie (HA!) Smith signs Terrell Owens just to pi/ss Andy Reid off, but this will not work, because the only time Andy will ever have more than one emotion a day is if he ever gets cast to star in "Groundhog's Day - The musical"...The plan backfires when TO decides to start celebrating in the huddle...Eagles 143 - Bears 7 (kick return)

During the two weeks before the Super Bowl, the Eagles will cut spending, balance the budget, drive Lindsey to her AA meetings, and in a development not asked for but much needed...save France from themselves...

Right after opening ceremonies, which include John Madden's reenactment of a wardrobe malfunction and the lip-synching of the National Anthem by the last remaining Vanilli, The Eagles' opponent, which will be a concoction of Colts, Ravens, Manchester United, and GWAR, will collectively urinate on themselves, making their pants' yellowish color clash with their jerseys...

The Eagles will score four times on their first possesion thanks to Jeff Garcia's ability to warp time...For the rest of the game, they'll take a knee...Eagles 32 (They went for 2 each time) Everyone else - 0...

The Eagles win the Super Bowl, after which they will declare themselves a candidate for the '08 elections...

God I need sleep...

I don't have the answers but sure would like to see a Colts/Saints superbowl!

Why is there no question that the Eagles will beat the Saints? The Saints beat the Eagles earlier in the year. Given, it was in October and before this run, but still. The Saints have, in my opinion, the MVP of the league.

I'd love to see a Saints/Chargers Super Bowl. But, I am really looking forward to Indy/Baltimore this weekend.

Before I sign off, as a Cowboys fan, all I have to say is CRAP!!!! The end of that game SUCKED!!!!

There is no question because it's going to happen. Saints beat us by a FG early on. We are playing better ball than we were then, and I dont think the same could be said about the Saints. Not to mention that the birds are eager to get some revenge.

MVP of the league? Do you mean rookie of the year or whatever? Certainly, you dont think that Drew Brees or Reggie Bush are MVP of the league. That is going to Tomilson for sure.

I would be suprised if the Colts won. It is going to be a damn good game though for sure. I think NE has a better shot at beating the Chargers than the Colts do at beating the Ravens.

What I cant believe is that Tony Romo is a pro-bowl selectee. Give me a break. If we were to pretend that bobbled snap never happened, that still doesnt excuse the fact that he throws a lot of terrible passes.

Yes, Drew Brees as MVP of the league. LT is the BEST player in the league, but Brees is the MVP. Why? Because MVP stands for Most VALUABLE player. If that's the case, then look at where New Orleans was last year and look at them this year. Why? Because of Drew Brees. I understand the MVP usually goes to the best player in the league, but Brees is the most Valuable to his team.

Why is Tony Romo a pro-bowl selectee? Who knows? Who else deserves, besides him, to be in the Pro Bowl from the NFC? Manning? No. Grossman? No. Favre? Perhaps. Vick? No. Garcia? I could live with that. Brees? Definately. Bulger? Perhaps. Bulger, Brees & Romo are going. Hasselbeck? No. He makes it out of default. I believe Favre should have been able to go instead of Romo.

I gotta say that my Seattle Seahawks are awesome and I'd love to see them face the Colts or Chargers in the Super Bowl. But after getting crushed last time they went to Soldier Field, I just don't see it happening. The Bears are still overrated and had an easy schedule this year, but the Seahawks just aren't playing well enough to win.

My Picks:

Saints beat Eagles (but it's a close one)
Bears beat Seahawks (NOOOOOOO!)
Chargers beat Patriots (another close one)
Colts beat Ravens (the Colts still have an awesome offense)

Chargers beat Colts (LT bulldozes Indy's run defense)
Saints beat Bears (Grossman falls apart, Brees completes every pass)

Chargers beat Saints (sad ending to New Orleans' Super Bowl run, but it has to happen)

Wow! I can't believe that a few of you are picking a Chargers - Saints Superbowl.
That's my pick from our family Christmas gathering. All my uncles, cousins, nephews, etc. rode me all day for picking the Saints (most were going for the Bears). I hope we're right, a nice getaway weekend is on the line.

Saints over Eagles
Bears over Seahawks
Chargers over Patriots
Ravens over Colts

Chargers over Ravens
Saints over Bears

Chargers over Saints

Lol. Yes, I am well aware of what MVP stands for, but thank you for the clarification. I still disagree completely that he is the MVP. Certainly, Drew Brees has contributed a lot to the Saints team, however there has been other things that have also contributed. They picked up Reggie Bush, when combined with Duece McAlister is just trouble. Don't get me wrong, he is MVP of the Saints, but the league??? No way. Time will tell!
If that's the case, then look at where New Orleans was last year and look at them this year. Why? Because of Drew Brees.
Yes, the Saints did blow *** last year but as I said, they have made many changes since then, other than aquiring Drew Brees.

I understand the MVP usually goes to the best player in the league, but Brees is the most Valuable to his team.
Ok. So if you understand this, and already said yourself that LT is the best player in the league, do you still stand by what you said that Drew Brees will be MVP of league?

I think Garica would be a better substitute than Romo. If McNabb were capable of playing, he would be also. Hell, I think even AJ Feely is better than Romo. I dont know.

Either way, I would of rather seen Jeff Garcia, or Matt Hassleback in the probowl.

Alright, what the **** is up with everyone thinking we'll make it through our first game and then lose to the Saints?

What I wanna know is what the **** is up with everyone thinking you guys will end up playing the Saints.

It's going to be a repeat of '03. Chicago wants to play the Saints. They fears the Birds.

NEW YORK (Jan. 4, 2007) -- Spell this year's NFL MVP: L.T.

Record-setting LaDainian Tomlinson of the San Diego Chargers ran away with The Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player award the way he eluded defenders in leading his team to the AFC's best record (14-2) and a favorite's role for the Super Bowl.

"When you're MVP of the league, it's a great accomplishment," Tomlinson said, adding the honor means "that I've had a great year, that's all, on a great team."

But with so much more on the horizon, he hopes.

"I would feel so much better about winning if we win the Super Bowl. It would feel like it would be everything," Tomlinson said.

Tomlinson, who broke Shaun Alexander 's league record for touchdowns by scoring 31 (28 rushing) and also threw for two scores, had one of the greatest seasons in NFL history. He rushed for a league-high 1,815 yards on 348 carries, had 56 receptions for 508 yards and was 2 for 3 as a passer, both completions for scores, giving the Chargers running back six in his six-year career, tying him for second among non-quarterbacks.

I don't know much about American foot ball, but everyone here wears the Chicago logos, so I guess I will as well!

yeah, we're afraid of the birds. We're terrified of the team that needed a last second field goal to beat the Giants, and needed, what, a 6 game winning streak to win one of the most laughable divisions in the NFL (except for the NFC West)

:rofl Oh hell no. You didnt just try to call my division the most laughable one, with the exception of NFC West. I agree completely that the NFC West is the worst division, however, your division is the second worst. Give me a break.. Chicago, GB, MIN and DET???? :rofl How are you going to laugh at the only division to have 3 teams going to the playoffs, especially when you yourself are in the 2nd shitties division in the NFL?

I also wanted to correct you when you said we needed a 6 game winning streak to win our division. We only needed to win 4 of the last 5 regular season games to take our division.

In reference to the Giants, we looked a hell of a lot better than they did. The whole first half of the game we kept getting the ball on our own like 3 yard line. As soon as we got some breathing room, things we much different. The giants got the ball at like midfield for I dont even know how many times in a row and we still didnt let them do anything with it.

I hope we meet for the NFC championship game. I dont think I will see you creeping around this forum when that day comes.

Is this coming from a Bears fan who had to sit and watch their team win because a kicker from the Arizona Cardinals...a team from the admittedly worst NFC West...missed a field goal at the end of the game?...:rofl

Good point. I remember that game. The bears fans in my division didnt have much to say at that point in time. They were also pretty quiet after that dolphins game!

Chicago/New England superbowl....come one Superbowl Shuffle II!

A little saying we have here...Scoreboard
You hypocritical f***!...

If you really believed that the "Scoreboard" is all that really matters, you wouldn't have mentioned that the Eagles needed a last second field goal to win the game...

You would've just said "Scoreboard" and recognized that the Eagles won...

Way to move the goal posts (pun intended)...:2wave:

Well the notable thing you miss about the NFC North is the presence of the Chicago Bears. Bears went 13-3, so there is not a single team from any other NFC division that would've even been close to winning the north. Although Minnesota, Green Bay, and Detroit all REALLY suck, it doesn't change that your entire division sucks (albeit, less than Minnesota, Green Bay, and Detroit), and you have nothing that can offset the North having the Chicago Bears.

And so I laugh, and I laugh heartily at your division!

The presence of the bears certainly doesnt make your division not suck. I said it before, Ill say it again, your division is the second worst. If we had teams as shitty as those in our division, it would be 6 free wins every season.

Also, Ive said it before, Ill say it again. If our division sucks so badly, why is half of the the NFC playoff teams from our division? Doesnt really make sense to me. Perhaps you can explain that.

Man, I don't need to be consistant,
Apparently, neither do the Bears...

my team's better, and we both know it!
Well then your team must be the '72 Dolphins, 'cause the Bears got no shot when the Eagles come to Soldier Field and beat them like a Yale singer in San Fran...

Why all the discussion about who in the NFC is going to the bowl? Virtually all of the AFC teams are far superior. The winner will be whoever represents the AFC and it does not matter which one it is.

Are you trying to say that the Saints/Eagles, Bears/Seahawks can't beat any of the AFC teams? That's total bullshit. Any team can win on any given day. Anyone who actually follows football knows that.

well apparantly the Eagles couldn't beat the Saints :rofl

Ah, I'll hush up, you've suffered enough.

Don't get too cocky, you're team's going down tomorrow!

oh my goodness, you were so right!

Great weekend, every team I wanted to win won.

I was right about you being too cocky, just not about the Seahawks win. They easily could've won that game and at least they put up a hell of a fight. Maybe you thought this game was a piece of cake, but one more mistake by the Bears and the Hawks would've won. The Bears played a great game and they deserved to win as much as the Seahawks, but no more. This game could've gone either way and you happened to be on the winning side. Congrats.
