Upcoming changes on 12/21 (1 Viewer)

Heads up!
Some small changes coming this Thursday [12-21]:

Left side bar moving to right side
1. The left side bar will be moved to the right hand side. Toggle button will still be available.
Reason: Search engines - we want to rank better than we are currently. Yahoo doesn't like us as well as they used to. Plus, we are number 4 for "polical debate" in google - we want to be number 1.

Faster faster!
2. A new product addon that will allow much faster access times will be added. Unfortunatly we will need to shut down the forums for a few mins to install. Plus this allows a quick removal if there are any issues.
Reason: We want this new server to rock even harder.

Change in forum name
3. Health Care forums will change names from Health Care to Health and Fitness.
Reason: Some members have expressed interest in more fitness discussion. Our health care forum can encompass that. If fitness interest grows we can split it and create a new forum for fitness only.

All these changes should take less than 30 minutes. Unsure of extact time.
Will fill in time closer to date.

Left side bar moving to right side
Left and Right side bars are now selectable at the very bottom left. However, please note that the right bar will become the default of page. Menu toggle switch near the paypal button is still available for either side.

Faster faster!
I selected not to pursue this new speed enhancement at this time. We have tweaked apache and MySql to account for the activity since the new server and we would like to keep an eye on the load and speed before making further tweaks. Editing posts and quick reply should be much faster now. Let me know.

Change in Health Care forum name

Right menu bar is now the default.

To switch it back to the left hand side as it used to be, select it from the drop down menu on the very bottom left banner.

These changes were tested with the following before commit:
