United Airlines says it's investigating a leak of information regarding Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-Texas) controversial flight to Cancun, Mexico.

"It's against United's policies to share personal information about our customers and we are investigating this incident," United told The Hill in a statement.

News of the probe was first reported by Politico. An executive told the news outlet that no option is "off the table" but it depends on the outcome of the investigation and if the employee who leaked the information is found. The executive noted that the leaker could be fired.

With Red Cruz on the other line, I'd change could to would.

I'm all for whatever punishment is warranted for an employee who breaks their employer's rules.

However, that doesn't change a thing about what Fled did. He was eyeballed in the airport and on the airplane. Straight up busted. So while UA certainly should police their personnel, it doesn't change the fact that Cruz is a scumbag.

What if a fellow passenger in the departure lounge tweeted it.

Heidi Cruz was texting her friends & asking if they wanted to join them for a few days in sunny Cancun.

Maybe the leaker is Cruz's wife.

United has an HR issue.

Cruz has an asshole issue.

There were a number of people in that airport that videoed Cruz. It's not like his departure to Cancun was a state secret. And to conclude that it might be a United employee who dropped a dime on him is really reaching. Airports are public spaces.

Cruz is very recognizable now that he is 9 months pregnant. Forget Cancun Ted, get thee to a gym, now!!
