The national organizations representing unicorns and rainbows have denounced president Barack Obama's lies and broken promises in a joint conference today.
"We feel betrayed.", says the spokesperson for the International Unicorn Alliance, William Goat. "We were promised expansive exposure and visibility during the run towards the election, but we now see that we were just being used. We fully understand that the number of personal friends, ministers, and campaign officials thrown under the Obama bus should've given us an indication of what could happen, but we didn't think he would do that to a mythical breed of animal that lives in childrens' dreams."
Goat also speculates that simple lies may not be the only reason for the betrayal. "The fact that he just happens to be the leader of a party that has a symbol of our un-horned cousin gives us reason to believe bigotry played, at least, a partial role."
The conference also included representatives from the ORC (Original Rainbow Coalition). The ORC's communications director, Violet Indigo, expressed betrayal from the Obama Administration as well. "Every single color of the rainbow feels victimized in the way the president stole our identity for his political purposes, then shunned us once he gained the power he craves. Everyone at the coalition is disappointed. Even Yellow is blue."
The Rushing Waters representatives could not be reached for comment.
