International org calls for federalization of U.S. law enforcement to be 'beefed up,' cover all of America

“The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice has provided oversight and recommendations for improvement of police services in a number of cities with consent decrees. This is one of the most effective ways to reduce discrimination in law enforcement and it needs to be beefed up and increased to cover as many of the 18,000-plus local law enforcement jurisdictions.”

That was United Nations Rapporteur Maina Kai on July 27, a representative of the U.N. Human Rights Council, who on the tail-end of touring the U.S., endorsed a little-known and yet highly controversial practice by the Justice Department to effect a federal takeover of local police and corrections departments.

A very bad recommendation and real bad for the US.

That would be a typical Obama and Clinton. We should not consider it, having plenty of federal crime fighting agencies as it is.

But it is noteworthy that we have almost a third fewer police per capita than say France. We might want to think about whether we could reduce crime, if we had more police. I am not sure of this, as I have never researched it. But looking into it might make sense.

Considering how the French police have saved no one recently.....more Police per capita is seriously ...........Overrated!

The fact of the matter being, that armed and trained French citizens, could have been very effective against many of these terrorists.
But France suffers from a bigger ***** generation of mush for brains leaders, than we have in the US.

What a WONDERFUL example of the right wing blowing things way the heck out of proportion. They look at a story that says, "The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice has provided oversight and recommendations for improvement of police services in a number of cities with consent decrees."...

...and somehow once that information reaches their brains, they actually think they're seeing "UN BACKS SECRET OBAMA TAKEOVER OF POLICE!!!!!!!"

Of course, this IS the same part of the American electorate that supports the GOP nominee whose advisers have twice tried to blame Obama for the 2004 death of Capt. Khan...and whose nominee doesn't think that Obama was even born in America, despite all evidence to the contrary.
