If Bush allocated a $100 million to AIDS research and then a cure was discovered, and he tried to say in an interview that he personally "took the initiative in developing a cure for AIDS," liberals would be saying that he was inflating his role.

Yet liberals (some here, sadly) argue that when Gore used that exact same wording to describe his "involvement" in the creation of the Internet, he was not telling a lie or trying to "let people think" he invented it.

Ironic when they choose to split hairs over semantics. (Define, "is.")

Come on! We all know damn well he was trying to get more credit than he deserved, and he didn't even give anyone $100 million!

Gore's habitual lying during the 2000 campaign was second only to (and probably learned from) Slick Willy himself.

At least this lie wasn't as bad as his Vietnam fib-the one where he said he "fought" in Vietnam, but actually had a body guard the whole time and was kept away from any hint of battle because his racist father was a senator.

Or the one about his dad being a civil rights leader-you know, the dad who voted against the historic 1963 Civil Rights Act?

Why do you insist on criticizing Al Gore for what his father did?

He has a lot we could use besides that, but the left likes to claim the Civil Rights movement as theirs, when in fact they were the ones blocking it. Did you know Gore got an award for his roll in "inventing the internet"? Pretty funny stuff. :rofl

Have you nothing better to do with your time than to write about Al Gore?

Can't you focus on more current lies like Bush and his henchmen did when they started a war? Al Gore makes up a story about the Internet & Bush makes up a story about WMDs....which one affects your life more?

Al Gore did not create the Internet.

Vint Cerf, actually help create it.

Gore did nothing more than promote to fund the Internet, and was first to say "information Superhighway"

Other than that, he's just taking credit for other peoples work.

Hey there even giving him an award? :rofl

Gore to receive Internet lifetime achievement award

Its amazing how doing nothing, and can be recognized for it!
