Ukraine Says Russia Ignoring Calls For Dialogue Amid Rising Tensions

That is a CLEAR violation on or Monroe Doctrine
Oh my God! The Monroe Doctrine... This is the one, according to which the "banana republics" are the property of the United States?
If you are such a lover of antiquity, then I want to remind you that in 1654, after 16 embassies to Russia from Ukraine with a request to help in the war with Poland and accept Ukraine into Russia, Russia agreed to accept Ukraine into its composition. This was not easy, as it meant a war with Poland, which began and lasted for 13 years.
A little more history After 21 years of war with Sweden under the treaty signed on September 10, 1721, Sweden refused in favor of Russia forever from Livonia, Estonia, Ingermanland and the so called Old Finland-the Karelian Isthmus with the city of Vyborg and the northern coast of Lake Ladoga. The supplementary agreement ("separate article") obliged Russia to pay Sweden 2 million efimks in four installments until October 1724. To estimate its scale, it is enough to say that it accounted for more than a quarter of the annual expenditures of the Russia.
That is, if Texas, conquered from Mexico, belongs to the United States, then the Baltic States also belong to Russia... Not to mention Ukraine...
For the information of amateurs of the Monroe doctrines and other antiquities...
P.S. Speaking of the Monroe doctrine, didn't the US itself violate it when it helped a European power in a war with a South American country in 1982?

For us Americans the Monroe doctrine meant security and peace when it was devised and that is still true today. Europeans never liked it of course. I could care less what you think about it either. We will never allow the thug Putin to take over Ukraine so get used to a democracy there.

take over Ukraine so get used to a democracy there
It is absolutely obvious that you have no idea what is happening in Ukraine, and what kind of "democracy" is happening there.
But what else can you expect from a "know it all" liberal...

I know they hate Putin's Russia and that makes them our friend. We don't desert our friends. Your screen name makes it clear where you stand.

News that Vladimir Putin, Russia’s latter-day tsar, is making plans to cling to power indefinitely comes as no surprise. All the same, it is deeply worrying for Putin’s prey – principally the Russian people and the western democracies.
Putin, 67, has run Russia, as president and prime minister, for 21 years, a feat of political longevity surpassed only by Joseph Stalin. Like Stalin, he has made many enemies and caused untold misery along the way.
Russia under Putin’s grim tutelage has grown notorious for cronyism and corruption on a vast scale, repression of domestic opponents and free speech, and military aggression and disruption abroad.

Again like Stalin, retirement is not a safe option for the ruthless ex-KGB spy who normalised assassination as a modern-day tool of state policy. To yield power would be to invite retribution, legal or physical.

If your friends are Nazis, it says a lot about you.
Speaking of long-lived and ruling dictators, the current Queen of England, Elizabeth II, took up her monarch's post even before the death of the Stalin, you mentioned... I hope in the next message you will denounce this outrage over democracy.

By the way, here is one of the enemies Stalin made:

And then he forced a peaceful Austrian painter to commit suicide...

Are they Nazis? I only see a photo of people doing a Roman salute. I do not know if that is acceptable in a cultural context in Russia. I also see no documentation of Their political beliefs, why they’re assembled, what their objectives are. No signs or placard’s. For all I know this is the end of a sports game.

What's up EMN? Nothing to do now that your boy Trump lost?

Defend Putin is the best you can do these days? What a come-down lol.

Nobody has ever made a compelling case to me as to why Putin is so bad.

Lol, I guess all the fascism, despotism, murder and plundering of the Russian state are all positive things for you. What a good Christian man that Putin is right? Probably reads his bible every morning.

1) fascism is a meaningless slur. It’s like calling someone a “poopyhead” it has no meaning other then that you want to express you hate someone. It’s not a reason however.

2) despotism, the Russian Federation is a representative republic with regular elections.

3) plundering of the Russian state,
This is so non specific that it cannot be argued against, you should provide a case.

What is positive, Putin has:
1) stopped the decline of Russia’s birth rate
2) introduced pro-family economic policies
3) made Russia back into an international world player
4) taken bold action to protect the Russian diaspora (which was caused by a poorly thought out dissolution of the USSR, the former Soviet Union should either have reverted to the Russian empire or been Balkanized with care) from civil rights abuses by nationalists in Georgia and Ukraine.
5) returned all the property stolen from the Church by the former USSR
6) took progressive action to protect Russian children and women from an extreme sexual agenda. No transsexual in Russia would even try forcing immigrant women to touch “her” balls like that freak in your country did. Mutilating children is a non issue in Russia.

Russia does not have real elections. You're anti-democracy and have said so on many occasions. He enriches himself in office by plundering his own people, taking literally billions. That's the kind of corruption you want for America?

You're quite possibly the least Christ-like person on this forum and wouldn't know Christ's teachings if you were slapped over the head with them. Your love for a mass murdering dictator confirms everything anyone on DP has accused you of from the beginning. You're anti-America, anti-democracy and pro-murderous dictatorship. How "Christian".

Ok, can you actually make an argument or are you just going to keep filling paragraphs with words That do not communicate any form of argument?

You keep continually Insisting that food is a fascist, who is not democratically elected, is a murderer, and steals money in some unknown way that you have not described. It sounds to me like you have believed the Cliff’s Notes version of a propaganda campaign, and now that you have to repeat it you are unable to remember exactly what it is you heard. I cannot make a rebuttal of this Paragraph, as you are not making any claims that can be falsified.

Ok, let's keep it simple. Why don't you defend Putin plundering the Russian people and taking literally billions through corruption. Why is that ok and why do you want American politicians to do that?

In Russia, the capitalists are now in power. They are represented in the authorities mainly by traitors who at one time betrayed the oath they gave to the USSR.
To destroy corruption and the other charms of capitalism, it is necessary to destroy the power of the capitalists and bring back socialism. I take it you're in favor of that?"

An oligarchy where a limited number of oligarchs control the economy and gobble up the nation's wealth isn't capitalism. Capitalism needs regulation to function. No, I'm not interested in communism or socialism.

We will never allow the thug Putin to take over Ukraine so get used to a democracy there.
The United States is withdrawing from Afghanistan while the Taliban, elated by the victory over the superpower, refuses to sign even a truce with official Kabul. The Taliban is now in its most powerful position since 2001.
This is a humiliating surrender. And they betray Kabul
There are already sighs about how deeply corrupt and unpopular the central government in Afghanistan is. The US has already written it off and buried it. The fate of all Washington's out-of-favor lackeys.
Why am I talking about it here? Ukraine is the next in line of lackey countries, that the US vows to protect, on the way to be abandoned.
In this case, it's good. It's a shame to support the fascist bastards.

Now is the perfect time for Moscow to try again with Afghanistan II.

Gee, did Russia incorporate them into their military?

Like, you know, Ukraine did with the Azov thugs?
I think the overarching main point here is that Nazis with ties to the West are playing the Russian and Ukrainian governments/state/institutions etc against one another.

Even NATO is pissed. I'm starting to think if this shit oges off the deep end it will not play out the way any of us are thinking it will

A political prostitute from Ukraine has again disgraced herself in Europe with his stinking russophobia

Lol. No context whatsoever.
