Well, when trump decided to start shouting “America First”, he was consciously echoing the isolationism of the prewar America First movement, which had its strongest adherents in the midwest, far west and south, the same territory as trump nation.

The Russians used their social media agitprop campaign to campaign for Trump and to promote the Russian world view in right wing social media (as anyone who turns on Fox Noise today can plainly see).

Trump, being a coward, allowed Putin to push him around and humiliate him publicly.

All the while he kept the funding a Russian fronted insurgency in Ukraine, in preparation for the invasion.

It seems we have not been as successful at bring down Putin as he has been in undermining America. That is the way to end this, from within.

Because, after a certain time, records deemed sensitive or secret at the time of writing, are released for public access. We know more about what went on in talks and conferences during WW2 now than we would have done at the time. Why would any sane government show the enemy their hand by releasing this material to the public? There are many documents you will never see.

Well, talking out of both sides of their mouths is pretty normal for them. They’re used to it.

The basic problem they have is that the entire planet knows that Trump would have supported Putin’s invasion, and pressured NATO to give the Russians every thing they wanted.

It’s quite likely that this gambit had planned on the assumption that Trump would still be President.

So Putin takes Crimea while telling Obama to go pound salt, then Obama's flunky Biden starts his term by giving Putin an oil pipeline and a complimentary lap dance, and Putin now says " Thanks Joe" by taking Ukraine as well , and you think Trump got pushed around ?
