Rush, Sean and Donald are gonna need more lies...

"The report, produced by the nonprofit Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, identified 7,750 protests between May 26 and Aug. 22 in 2,400 locations, according to The Washington Post.

The report found that about 220 became "violent" - a term defined as demonstrators fighting with police or with counterprotesters. The term also applies to demonstrations that resulted in property damage. In 93 percent of cases analyzed, there was no violence.

In the violent cases, the report said, violence was "largely confined to specific blocks, rather than dispersed throughout the city."

The peaceful rioters have been so peaceful that two mayors have had to move out because of the very, very peaceful rioters!

'Peaceful Protests' Push St. Louis, Portland Mayors Out of Their Homes

St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson and her husband moved to a nearby apartment nearly two months ago due to the numerous protests after the death of George Floyd.

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler announced he started looking for a new place to live after his city has seen over 85 straight nights of riots.

Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser might join the list since protesters gathered outside of her home on Wednesday night “following a police-involved shooting in that city.”

What really confuses me is that these mayors are Democrats. I thought these riots had to do with President Donald Trump and the racist Republicans.

Wheeler has largely sided with the rioters, who have caused massive destruction and scared people in Portland. Instead of trying to save his city, Wheeler has rejected Trump’s offers to send in federal agents and any kind of assistance to stop the riots.

Wheeler’s hatred for Trump trumps (pun intended) the safety of his city.

This is the insurance bill for damage and looting during protests over George Floyd’s death — and that’s just in Minnesota

The property destruction and looting during some of the protests over George Floyd’s May 25 death in police custody will cost insurers at least $25 million dollars — and that’s in Minnesota alone.

That estimate is according to Property Claim Services, an insurance industry company that monitors “catastrophes.” The word has special meaning for insurers, applying to large-scale man-made or natural disasters that will result in claims reaching at least $25 million.

On Saturday, the company designated the protests a “riot and civil disorder event” in the Minneapolis area. The label means the company expects insured losses to exceed $25 million.

Portland's violent nightly protests that have brought city to its knees

PORTLAND, Ore. — Downtown businesses in Portland, Oregon, have sustained about $23 million in damages and lost customers because of violent nightly protests that have brought the city to its knees, authorities said Wednesday.

At a police briefing, Deputy Chief Chris Davis said the intensity of the violence by an “agitator corps” and the length of the protests that are now in their sixth week are unprecedented in Oregon's largest city.

They don't care about the report. They'll just continue to believe the pundits, because that's what they want to believe.

Rioting that erupted in cities across the United States after the Memorial Day death of George Floyd in Minneapolis may rival the 1992 Los Angeles riots to become the most costly civil disorder in United States history.

Insured Losses from Riots Reach ‘Catastrophe’ Levels, May Rival Record

Destruction and looting that erupted after Floyd’s death was reported in at least 25 cities, and spread into many suburbs as well. The extent of damage was unknown as of late Monday, but a sample of local news reports suggests that it is widespread:

In Pittsburgh, the Public Safety department reported 50 businesses and properties in downtown area were damaged.
The Downtown Seattle Association reported that 50 businesses had damaged downtown and in the neighboring Chinatown-International District.
The Chicago Loop Alliance said at least 45 property were damaged in the downtown area by rioting that also spread into the cities suburbs.
In Madison, Wisconsin, 75 businesses were damaged and some were looted.

The National Guard reported on Monday that it had deployed troops in 24 states to protect lives and property.

“We expect this to be a significant loss event as the impact is being experienced in large and small markets across the U.S.,” stated III spokesman Mark Friedlander. “However, because it is an ongoing event, it is premature to determine the volume of property loss that will be incurred.”

Nobody cares about peaceful protests the problem is the violent ones.

Rush and Sean are God.

For many of them, it reinforces certain racist beliefs, so they're pretty invested in the narrative that most minorities are rioting and looting.

Silly thread....... Tens of millions of damage and damn all done by peaceful rioters! The key word "Peaceful"!
Typical democrats.... head in the sand. And then there is mental decline Biden. Locked in his basement because of peaceful rioters. ;)

i guess we should be more thankful that we're not that way.

My thoughts are nobody cares about the people protesting peacefully. Just like how nobody raises a fuss about the right to life protest that happens every year.

Essentially a protest happening is nothing happening, and therefore it's not newsworthy, not worthy of address or notice. They don't factor into the riots they don't matter. Nobody cares about protests that's just every day in modern Life.

^ guys. look at what he's admitting.

What am I admitting the protests don't matter they never matter. Nobody cares about them and they are forgotten shortly after. I'm sure there were people peacefully protesting the treatment of Rodney King, I'm sure it was 10 to 1 peaceful protesters to rioters how many people talk about that?

Fact or opinion?

It's opinion but I'm looking for data to back it up. There is surprisingly little data on use of force that I can find. I did find this report from 2015 and on page 13 there's a chart talking about the perception people have about traffic stops. According to the chart, 92.2% of blacks that got a warning thought the police behaved properly and 85.1% that got a ticket thought the cops behaved properly. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that "acted properly" means "I didn't get a beating".

Actually, since I'm still browsing that study, there is a chart on page 16 about use of force. 3.3% of blacks experienced a use of force as compared to 1.3% of whites. That includes threats of use of force so we don't know exactly what percentage experienced actual violence.

At any rate, it's a rather small percentage of police engagements that result in ANY violence and that doesn't even take into consideration whether the violence by the cops was justified or not.

Entire sports teams and even private companies are protesting peacefully, and Trumpers are STILL complaining and screeching in indignant outrage.
So it's definitely NOT the looting and rioting they have a problem with.
It's the fact that they don't like what's being said, and it's always been that and only that.

220 violent riots over the summer is something only mindless left could celebrate.
