Uganda elections 2021: What you need to know

Museveni is most likely going to win again (and he will probably cheat if things start to look bad). But if he loses he's not going to step down peacefully. Bobi Wine, his main challenger is interesting, a former pop star who is incredibly popular among the younger generations. Whatever happens I suspect things might turn ugly.

To no one's surprise Museveni won (and probably not without shenanigans, like the social media ban that went in force right before the elections). Bobi Wine is also to no one's surprise not accepting the results and claim to have proof of voter fraud (which he might opr might not have). He also says his life is in danger, which is probably true, you don't cross Museveni.
