No. He explicitly said he doesn't condone what they did. But they've been held in jail for three months and now are going to be held "indefinitely" without bail. For a charge of trespassing. Seems a bit over the top.
If he truly didn't condone it, he wouldn't downplay any of it.
He's throwing that in to bullshit people. You can eat it but I ain't.
