The Palestinians have always been a tool of various Arab dictators. They were created, and their refugee population sustained , as a weapon to use against Israel and to misdirect their populations from their more local oppressors.
Now that the Arab leaders are starting to recognize they have bigger, more pressing threats, that the Israelis are not the threats that they were made out to be, and that collaboration with Israel in economics and technology could in fact be a boon to their own economies and the prosperity of their populations, the Palestinian tool they invented is no longer useful to them.
Now of course this isn't everyone. The Palestinians are a useful tool to both the Turks and the Iranians with their own imperial aspirations over the ME, allowing them to pick up the discarded tool to show the masses how "much they care", but they like the other Arab countries before them don't actually care about the Palestinians either.
And all through this, the Palestinians have remained as obstinate as ever, unwilling to make peace, unwilling to compromise, and unwilling to actually face reality (see, e.g., Arafat's musings about the Jewish temple for a base case of how reality denial has permeated Palestinianism.
So now the Palestinians will be fully abandoned by the gulf kingdoms, will be picked up to be weaponized by the Iranians and the Turks to try to increase their leverage in the region, and will cling to their invented fantasies and delusional utopianism for another generation or two until the Turks and Iranians decide they don't need the Palestinians anymore either. All the while 5th and beyond generation "refugees" will remain in Lebanese internment camps unable to get education or jobs because they had ancestors that lived for a few years in Southern Syria. All the while Israel and those smart enough to not be Israel's enemies will continue to grow and prosper.
