Who cares about a Prize awarded by a bunch of Norwegian politicians in their dotage? A hundred times more important is the improved prospects for peace in the Near East. What do you think about this amazing agreement?

You know exactly “who cares!”

I’m trying to figure out how and why an Arabic country, over 1300 miles distant from Israel, decides to agree to “normalize” relations in the run-up to a US election. Who benefits? Bibi,Trump or the Crown Prince?

Arabic is a language not a certain kind of state. It's like calling the USA or Australia an 'English country'.

Correct. It's called the Arab League. NOT the Arabic League. That is my point.

The dictionaries still list Arabic as an adjective.

After further digging, I grant that the adjective is not used as much as in the past.

Language changes and I can’t keep up with all the changes.

Thanks for the chat. :peace

It is more an agreement to enter into agreements. An awful lot could go wrong before it is over.

This is a big deal for the ME.

It won't have much impact on the US Election. Our elections tend to turn on domestic issues. We haven't had a foreign policy presidential election since 2004.

Fair point. But by the same token an awful lot could go right.

Excellent news for the region and the entire world.
