Dog ate $500 worth of food in one gulp.
One Montana pup landed himself in the doghouse because he ate $500 in cash that belonged to his owner.
According to the Helena Independent Record, graphic artist Wayne Klinkel and his wife were on a road trip to visit their daughter and her husband when they made a pit stop at a restaurant and left their golden retriever Sundance in the car. Turns out, while they were eating, their beloved pet had found the five $100 bills and a $1 bill hidden in one of the cubbyholes, and managed to scarf down four-and-a-half of the Benjamins, but left the $1 on top of the driver’s seat, proving that he has expensive taste.

Why on EARTH he mailed them to the Treasury Department, I'll never know. He could have taken them to his local bank. (He'd pieced them together . . . which is what you have to do . . . and as long as you have more than half of the bill? Piece of cake.

How do you know that for sure, Maggie? About a year ago, my mom (dementia) cut up 8 $100 bills and threw them away. Her partner found them in the garbage, fortunately, and that's what we did. Lordy.

Maybe he just wanted to send some crap encrusted money bits to the government and get his money back to boot. Sounds like a perfectly reasonable bucket list item.
