U.S.S. Stout (Burke class destroyer) sets record for consecutive days at sea with 208

Agree with that. Long time to be deployed at sea.
 
I did 149 days and 157 days straight back in the late 80's and early 90's. You need a good C.O. and supporting Department heads onboard to keep morale up during times like this. The two boats that I did my long sea stints on had excellent officers and very experienced senior enlisted people. They knew when to overlook some things and when reign the crew in. ;)

I have a feeling that the Stout Skipper relaxed the routine a little, while keeping up with the required fire fighting and navigational drills.
