These folks used to claim liberty and freedom, and now they have Orban, a person clamping down on individual freedom as a key note speaker. What happened ?? What caused the shift from giving lip service to liberty to this rush to authoritarianism?

This is a group of politicians that would kick democracy to the curb on a moment's notice if it meant a long-term, infallible grip on the reins of power. We all know it. This is the fascist wing of the GOP we are talking about... they literally are anti-Antifa e.g. against anti-fascism! So let's call a spade a spade.. they admire Kim Jong Un's power, they admire Vladimir Putin's power, they'd love such power for themselves, and they'll surround themselves with like-minded people because it makes them feel welcomed.
