Tentative disarmament pact achieved after marathon negotiation session

BEIJING - Negotiators reached a tentative agreement on initial steps for North Korea’s nuclear disarmament, the U.S. envoy to the talks said Tuesday.

Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said the agreement outlined specific commitments for North Korea and would set up working groups to implement those goals to begin meeting in about a month. He declined to give other details.

“I’m encouraged by this that we were able to take a step forward on the denuclearization issue,” Hill said.

Depends on if all the agreement members keep their portions of the bargain. And FYI, from what I know the agreement has not been finalized yet.

I thought liberals held diplomacy in high regard? Or is this simply your knee jerk reaction to anything that happens under Bush's watch?

If it happens under Bush's watch, then kidrocks automatically finds fault with it....... even if it's diplomacy, which kidrocks has been crying for. Complete hypocracy.
 
What I would like to know is what is the main difference between this agreement and the one Clinton made, which Bush and his admin didn't agree with and ended shortly after taking office.

You mean the one that North Korea broke almost as soon as it was put in place? The Bush administration didnt have anything to do with the failure of the 1994 Carter/Clinton agreement.
