An inquiry by Rhodesian civil aviation authorities soon after the crash found that the plane was on a normal approach route to the airport but had descended too low, and that neither pilot error nor foul play could be ruled out. A Rhodesian public inquiry in 1962 also cited low altitude. A separate United Nations inquiry the same year reviewed a range of possible causes without pinpointing one factor.

But a United Nations panel reviewing the case in 2013 found that there was “persuasive evidence that the aircraft was subjected to some form of attack or threat as it circled to land at Ndola.”

Charles Southall, now 80, was a naval aviator in 1961, working at a signals intelligence base in Cyprus.

Pilot, not CIA, not NSA, not even Naval intel.

Paul Henry Abram, now 73, was a Russian-speaking Air Force expert on loan to the National Security Agency

Contractor, not NSA.

But hey better 50 years late than never eh? :roll:

I bet if you put your mind to it you can find far more than 2 people loosely affiliated with US intelligence 50 years after the fact who will claim they witnessed little green men too.

Did I state that it was shot down, no, but information does have a way of surfacing.

We have seen that time and again.
But back in those day as it is today, it was about wealth and resources.
