The French aircraft carrier, the Charles DeGaulle, has arrived in the Gulf region, joining the John C. Stennis, which arrived in February, and the Dwight D. Eisenhower, which has been there for sometime. This deployment has a dual purpose - 1) To be there in case of war with Iran and 2) For support of operations in Afghanistan. Interestingly enough, where they are positioned would require flights from those ships to go over Iranian airspace, should they do missions to Afghanistan. No white flags have yet been spotted in the area of the ships.

Dude? You mean idiot, don't you? In response, I must declare that I am not now, nor have I ever been, the brightest crayon in the box. LOL. (Note: Hey, if I can't have a good laugh at myself once in a while, then I would be taking myself too seriously, and would be dying before my time.)

Thanx for reading my mind and posting the link. :)

Wow! The French actually showed up, if they stay another week this will be the longest they've been in a conflict zone since the American revolution.:lamo

 The French have an Aircraft Carrier?

Yea, it's part of the NEW French Navy, which consists of glass bottom boats, so they can look down and see the OLD French Navy.

Heheh, that is pretty funny. But I think France has a pretty decent military. I don't think it's on par with the British but it's there.

About times they joined in. For a while I thought that because they were one of the first to find out Bush was lying about invading Iraq they would never help out.
Now all we need is a "Mission Accomplished" song by the Dixe Chicks.

Oh damn! This was clever.

The French showed up because they have to. The Iraq war did more than portray us as "warmongers." It also shed light on the French and the German long time sentiment to global affairs. The French have to be a part of this in order to prove something to us and to them.
