What heavy hardware? According to the op it was a machine pistol and a ar-15, neither of which are 'heavy'. Semi auto rifles are common. Machine pistols are pistols.

No, we would be hearing that people who DID arm themselves were able to defend themselves. Just because you can bear arms doesnt mean people will.

No. Heavy weapons are grenade launchers, rocket launchers, machine guns (real ones, like a BAR or gatling), mortars, etc. Rifles have been used by civilians for hundreds of years, and the AR15 is not functionally differnt from any other rifle.

They are already banned if they were made after May 19, 1986 and if they were made before that, you have to have an extremely burdensome tax stamp

You might also think that voting means the citizens govern themselves and control the government by voting. You would be wrong.

But the larger point is that when Dubya & Dick took the country to war under fraud, they took the country to where we are today, with many young men effected by PTSD. Some of those will commit suicide alone, some will commit suicide by cop.

The VA tries to deal with it, but there is no easy solution, once the dogs of war have been let loose.
