Worcester police said officers responded to the neighborhood around 11:13 a.m. for reports of around 25 people surrounding a federal agent, while another person called to report that ICE agents were refusing to show a warrant to the crowd.

There is still courage in these United States.

I hope, in 100 years, we don’t have history students reading The Diary of a Young Girl by Ana Francisco about a Hispanic girl, hiding in an attic.

The time to be protecting you friends from SS thugs is now.

I don't know who Ana Francisco is, but a newly rebuilt Alcatraz will be a perfect fit for Ashley Spring.

MAGA.

Just for the sake of argument here...

Am thinking that law enforcement officers are probably not obligated to "show the warrant to the crowd".

Good for these brave residents for standing up to these evil, soulless monsters. I would not want only want ICE abolished and all officers fired and blacklisted from all government service in the future, I would want their salaries clawed back by the subsequent administration for violating their oaths to uphold the Constitution.

Arresting isn't enough. Prosecute and sentence them to the fullest extent that the law allows. Zero tolerance should be shown to these people.

Why, as a Libertarian, do you want a heavily armed Federal Secret Police organization going around arresting citizens without warrant?
They are no more armed than any other law enforcement agency, they aren't SEEEEECRET, and they are arresting aliens as they've been doing for years and years and years.

They have plainclothes officers who can arrest people (including citizens) without warrant, send people to foreign prisons without the most minimal fact-finding hearing, and do not answer FOIA requests. They are definitionally a secret police organization in practice and the exercise of their power.

They have always been a terrible organization, staffed by terrible people (Tom Homan was appointed by Barack Obama to his lasting shame). And now they are sending innocent people to rot in foreign prisons. Again, I am just wondering why you, as a Libertarian, like them so much. Or, if you do not like them, why you are so quick to defend them. I mean, is Libertarianism just your way of saying you are a Republican and you hate Social Security and Medicare for the elderly? Or do you actually believe in civil liberties and Constitutionally protected rights, but just very particular ones for a very, very select group of people?

Just like many many other agencies.

who can arrest people without warrant,
They can arrest aliens on probable cause they are committing a crime, just like any other law enforcement officer.

send people to foreign prisons without a hearing,
Awaiting evidence ICE had any say in this.

and do not answer FOIA requests.
Lots of things aren't FOIA-able.

They are definitionally a secret police organization in practice if not in theory.
Nah.

They have always been a terrible organization,
Lie.

staffed by terrible people.
Lie.

I wouldn’t put respirating oxygen on the same level as hunting Jews to deport or imprison.
But officers of the law enforcing duly-passed immigration statutes that have been on the books for literally decades is totes the same thing as releasing the Zyklon-B.

So do you always support taking people without producing a warrant? Or is there some reason you only support it here?

If nothing else these threads prove the claims that the far left ever wanted our borders secured and our immigration laws to be enforced to be the complete lies most people always knew they were.

Oh, I do not think they were lies. I just do not think these were good things in the first place.

We do not need "secure borders" against what had hitherto been two friendly nations.
