Turkish police have detained some 50 anti-government protesters as they made their way to demonstrate outside the president's residency.

Reports suggest the arrests were provoked by the protesters' refusal to step down from the bus to speak to the police.

You are on your way to protest? You gotta be stopped by the Turkish police. Before you even proetst you are stopped to ask questions "why"? Nothing but more authoritarian bull**** from Erdogan.

A week ago Erdogan has also accused some who oppose him of 'cooperating with the Mossad'.
The silly dictator has completely lost it, how the hell did he manage to get into a position of power to begin with.

Gülenists in Turkey cooperating with Israel

And why do the Turks keep putting him back in power?

What is more interesting to me is why this seems to be Obama's favorite ruler in the region now that Morsi is gone.

Because the country is comprised of a poorly educated electorate who will blame anybody for their condition that they are told to blame.

And why do the Turks keep putting him back in power?

Again, because they have a poorly educated, unsophisticated electorate that only has a nodding familiarity with the notion of democracy.

Fun fact : Erdoğan doesn't have a college degree. We're not even sure if he went to the highschool.Uneducated people-uneducated leaders.
