Tulsa sees Covid-19 surge in the wake of Trump's June rally

No one wants to be president and a billionaire.

Okeeeeyyyy!

Vindman did, Strozk did, Weissmann did, Cuomo did. Obama tried and failed at everything except dividing America between racial lines.

No one wants to be a pudgy old man with a bad hair transplant.

and as all diseases have proven, the more manly you are the less chance you have of developing, say, polio.

wait, are you manly AND vaccinated?

If you are in the twentysomething crowd, as I suspect many here are, you have a greater chance of dying from it being too hot or too cold. No need to pearl clutch anymore. I have given you the facts that CNN won't tell you.

As I say, very few strong men in the left crowd. They are all Berkeley professor types or computer wonks who never did a hard days work. Rolley poley guys and gals who push the scales at 200 instead of the barbells. Brian Stelter soy boys.

Those "wonks" are the smart people who provided the know-how to give you with the computer you're using and put men on the moon; not some steroidal, muscle-bound moron posing in front of a mirror, admiring himself. You have a weirdly immature idea of what it takes to be a man.

tbf, you're not even sure which data to use to show that you're right about your previous failed covid predictions

So, it's entirely reasonable for young people to want something more authoritative than your simple say-so

I mean, if you can

If not, no worries.

Funny how some see a "hard day's work" in a very limited criteria. I'm not sure what vision that poster has for the future workforce, but the jobs of the future are more technical ones the "computer wonks" will be handling. We'll always need manual laborers, but that's likely to be limited to the trades versus manufacturing.

:roll:

FAKE NEWS! Why was the BLM protest not mentioned? Of course, what do you expect from fake newser CNN? :lol:

Black Lives Matter protests ensue outside Trump's "Keep America Great" rally in Tulsa

Ahead of President Trump's "Keep America Great" rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday night, Black Lives Matter protesters gathered outside the venue as Trump supporters waited for the doors to open. The interactions between protesters and supporters remained civil much of the afternoon, but little-to-no social distancing was seen.

Here, watch it!

I really don't care about cases. There cases of the flu, the common cold, and other diseases ALL THE TIME. I care more about the number of deaths, a different entity altogether. The number of deaths, as being reported, are extremely low. The CDC released information earlier this week that the number of deaths are so low that this thing can't even be considered an epidemic....
sigh

- Deaths are a lagging indicator, not only because it can happen 1-2 weeks after the test result, but also reporting is delayed by up to 2 weeks.

- Death rates are in fact rising in hot spots like Texas, Florida and Arizona.

- Death is not the only negative outcome of a COVID-19 infection. Up to 20% of infected people can wind up in the hospital, and the average hospital stay is 2 weeks. They can also have lung damage, strokes, cardiac damage, blood clots and possibly even brain damage.

- Hospitals are already getting overwhelmed in hot spots. That means that COVID and non-COVID patients can't get care, and that increases the mortality rate for many types of illnesses.

So no, focusing exclusively on death rates is a very, very bad plan.

That fatalities is the only measure for some is pretty interesting in that it's an easy way to ignore the broader problems this disease presents.

It's not to be feminine.

Ummmmm, I looked it up and it's a fact. Want links?

I'm doing just fine. Too bad it's too late for Trump.

He could be dead in several years but I have no question he will finish his second term.

i have no idea about a presidential rally, but i just googled regarding a NFL game and...

"How many cameras cover an NFL game?
Each game is a major production, with broadcasters deploying 12 to 20 cameras and 150 to 200 employees for regular-season contests."

Yep. Sounds about right. Since seating and attendance numbers at the smallest NFL stadium is over 10 times the attendance of the Tusla Trump rally, that would be about right. Live sports with commentators takes quite a bit more production than a single stage with a podium that a few people speak from.

It is deeply disturbing to have witnessed Donald Trump have such rally where a bunch of his American devotees were exposed to the danger of Covid-19.

Damn, maybe he is a Dem operative after all.

For which thing?

Did you decide on which data showed we hadn't had 75,000 covid deaths by the (end of May/ June/ the end of June)?
I'd love to see that if you finally found some.

If you're talking about the data for the assertion you made in your quote in my previous post,
then, yes too.

You should probably back up all of your assertions from now on.
fyi
fwiw

We still don't know. I have done some checking and I am finding some states showing lower death levels than is shown on the worldometer. There is some funny bidness goin' on. The CDC appears to be nothing more than an agency that collects stats and lag on that, probably because they are busy watching porn. I dunno and I dunno what else it is they do other than stuff like saying not to drink hydroxycholoroquine. I believe my 75,000 EXCESS deaths still to be extremely close to actual.

OTHER THAN the CDC do you have any charts, maybe from individual states that show how many people died over the past 5 years or so versus how many in 2020? I don't think the individual states have any reason to cheat or fudge on such stats.

You don't have anything to back up your claims in this thread either?

okay, let's talk about that other thing then.
What source did you intend for us to use when you asked forum goers to check back with you?
Did you have one in mind which would have the data you are seeking?

Here's the link to the post where I gave you these sources before
According to this data,
I guess you forgot.

Here're link to multiple sets of deaths data. At least one covers from 2013 through 2020

A few days ago, on the Fourth of July, according to this data,
GitHub - Financial-Times/coronavirus-excess-mortality-data: Excess mortality data compiled by the FT Visual & Data Journalism team

The US is up 109,621 deaths over the average for the same period — January 1 through May 23 or 24 — during the years 2013 through 2019

We're up 91,000 more dead Americans than the same period in 2018, the highest year in the preceding seven years.

oof.

~~~
Here are some more data sources you can look through.
Maybe you can find one that matches what you think is going on
gl
Several media publications and regional data sources are publishing public databases
Several media publications and regional agencies have began publishing excess death data for some countries.
  • The Economist published the first database on excess mortality on GitHub.
  • The New York Times publishes its dataset on excess mortality on GitHub.
  • The Financial Times publishes its dataset on excess mortality on GitHub.
  • Eurostat publishes downloadable data for European countries on its website.
  • Human Mortality Database publishes downloadable data for a number of countries on its website.
hang on now. you keep preaching about being manly and not being afraid and all that stuff (which then leads to people not getting infected). so does that no apply to people older than, say, 40? are they not manly enough?
btw, have you received any vaccines?
In Oklahoma's uncompromising interest to inform and empower the public as to where and how the virus is transmitted, they closely follow state guidelines to protect the populace:
"Although the health department’s policy is to not publicly identify individual settings where people may have contracted the virus, Dart said those large gatherings “more than likely" contributed to the spike."
And please ignore the person behind the curtain...
The ONLY vaccine I ever had was polio. I have NEVER gotten a flu shot. My mom got one a few decades back and nearly died. I have been denied the opportunity to gain immunity by liberals who are sequestering everyone. This is a sham.
okay, i'm gonna look this up. how old are you?
Go volunteer in a covid unit without a mask. Then isolate yourself. Get back to us on your experience.
Lets just say I am "older".
BTW, my wife works at a hospital and she doesn't like flu shots either but they started last year making everyone get one.
Do you know just how effective flu shots are? Most don't, so here ya go.
How effectiveare flu shots? - Google Search
For those who won't read the link. They are 45% effective.
