Tucker Carlson Explains the Govt Created Subsidized Baby Formula Monopoly and Current Shortages

Reframing this as a gov't subsidy disparity belies the fact the Biden is presiding over not a problem paying for baby formula, but accessing baby formula.
What else will Democrats come up with to affect post-birth abortion?

WTF? Your ignorance is overshadowed by your RWE. Attempt to shitstain Biden with a "liberal baby formula monopoly scheme" is rewriting the history of legislation passed in 2004 as a G.O.P. "reform" by a G.O.P. congress and signed into law by President Bush!

The scheme G.O.P. legislators and POTUS enacted in 2004 resulted in narrowing competition in the baby formula market and
reduced the amount of revenue flowing to businesses manufacturing and distributing those products because the government purchased
half of what was sold and the 2004 law commoditized the products most infants could tolerate.

Do you assume Tucker writes his own disinfo? He is a presenter of propaganda financed by donations of wealthiest donors to the G.O.P
and their corporate and personal lobbyists to congress.

Inside the RWE bubble, Biden is blamed for everything he inherited and Trump is given a pass for everything he disrupted, damaged, disappeared or destroyed.

2004:
"...Mr. CARTER. Mr. Speaker. I rise in support of S. 2507, Child
Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004, which includes language
that I offered to stop infant formula theft.
Stolen infant formula is a major problem throughout the country,
including the State of Texas.
In 2003, international crime rings stole as much as $2.5 million
worth of baby formula a month in Texas, and testimony before Congress
revealed that some of the proceeds may go to fund terrorism.
After being stolen, the formula was stored and sometimes repackaged
with phony expiration dates, then it was sold to small convenience
stores in the United States.
This legislation requires State agencies to license and maintain a
list of infant formula manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and
retailers approved to provide infant formula to vendors.
This section closes a loophole that would allow crime rings to steal
infant formula and resell this formula to retailers, who often are
unaware that the formula was stolen.
This list would include food manufacturers, wholesalers,
distributors, and retailers licensed in the State to distribute infant
formula and food manufacturers registered with the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration that provide infant formula, with vendors required to
purchase infant formula from the list.

The stolen formula is often resold to customers using vouchers from
the federally funded Women, Infants, and Children program.
I want to thank Education and the Workforce Chairman John Boehner and
the Subcommittee on Education Reform Chairman Michael Castle, along
with this staff, Kate Howston and Stephanie Milburn for their important
work on this legislation.
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I urge that my colleagues support this
important legislation."

What was the plan once the government decided to shut down a plant that provided 30 plus percent of needed formula? Certainly Team Biden had a back up plan. From what we’re hearing about lockdowns same thing. They never thought of the negative consequences.

Talk about BIASED reporting this takes the cake!

The truth of it all:

Much of the current shortage is rooted in a February recall of formula after a suspected bacterial outbreak at an Abbott Nutrition plant in Michigan. The recall affected three major brands of powdered baby formula, and the plant was subsequently closed as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspected it. On Saturday, a spokesperson for Abbott told CNN that the company is working with the FDA to restore full operations.

Oh yeah, they should have consulted Trump on how to solve the problem, given Trump's success in doing things the right way.

After Considering $1 Billion Price Tag for Ventilators, White House Has Second Thoughts

March 26, 2020
A deal with General Motors and Ventec Life Systems to produce tens of thousands of the critical lifesaving devices seemed imminent. Then the announcement was pulled back.
WASHINGTON — The White House had been preparing to reveal on Wednesday a joint venture between General Motors and Ventec Life Systems that would allow for the production of as many as 80,000 desperately needed ventilators to respond to an escalating pandemic when word suddenly came down that the announcement was off.
Update
Trump shifts position and blames G.M. for lack of needed ventilators.
The decision to cancel the announcement, government officials say, came after the Federal Emergency Management Agency said it needed more time to assess whether the estimated cost was prohibitive. That price tag was more than $1 billion, with several hundred million dollars to be paid upfront to General Motors to retool a car parts plant in Kokomo, Ind., where the ventilators would be made with Ventec’s technology."

There is no truth from Tucker Carlson, just nonsense then more nonsense.

Much like Maddow on MSNBC do you have a point?

MSNBC's top-rated host Rachel Maddow devoted a segment in 2019 to accusing the right-wing cable outlet One America News (OAN) of being a paid propaganda outlet for the Kremlin. Discussing a Daily Beast article which noted that one OAN reporter was a "Russian national” who was simultaneously writing copy for the Russian-owned outlet Sputnik on a freelance contract, Maddow escalated the allegation greatly into a broad claim about OAN's real identity and purpose: “in this case,” she announced, “the most obsequiously pro-Trump right wing news outlet in America really literally is paid Russian propaganda."

In response, OAN sued Maddow,
Wow, you bring in Rachel Maddow to combat Tucker Carlson's Bias? Rachel is 100 times more believable and more data and truth oriented than Tucker will ever be. Rachel Maddow is top notch elite penthouse resident while Tucker Carlson is a laughable and sickening bottom cellar resident.

Oh, and by the way on the lawsuit that OAN put against Maddow:

First of all, let me begin my answer with the reality-of-life that no one is perfect. If you search and look to find something to criticize, you will always find something in each and every person. The opposite is also true. I will not sit here are debate whether Maddow made (or did not make) this error on this occasion that you are mentioning. I would not be surprised if she did.

Nonetheless, life is much like marriage. You marry for better and for worse and KNOW that both will occur during the marriage. The thing to do is to find a mate that offers more good than bad and if you find such a mate, you enjoy and key on the good and ""ignore" the bad and your marriage will be a happy and positive one.

Maddow offers a lot more good than bad while Carlson offers the opposite. Comparing those two is like comparing a clean person versus an unclean person. One smells good most of the time while the other smells rotten most of the time with the difference being one takes a bath every day while the other once a week. When the person that bathes once a week takes a bath, he smells good but the problem is that it is only once a week. When the person that takes a bath once a day goes to the bathroom to do what is normal to all of us, he/she will smell bad. The difference is whether there is more aroma than odor most of the time.

As far as Tucker Carlson's show being number #1, I should mention that people are more drawn to a catastrophe than to a beautiful sunset. FOX News and Tucker Carlson appeals to a lot of people because they are always talking about catastrophes. In addition, there are a lot of people that like you, are critics and always want to uncover the bad in people as it makes them feel better about themselves. That is why FOX and Tucker are number one. They make those of us that are are selfish, self centered, uncaring-about others, and critics feel good. Unfortunately, most humans fit into that category. Very few humans have morals, ethics, principles and humanity.

As such, being #1 is no big deal as they ply lies-that-make-us-feel-better than truth that often is uncomfortable to who we are inside. We all want to hear things that make us feel good about "ourselves".

You have lost the debate bear. Try again.

You insist on "being informed" about current events and other political issues by an intensely partisan, evening TV entertainer
and you react defensively when this is pointed out to you while in truth, we're doing you and this country a favor in telling you.

Nothing good will result from your defensive disdain.

Try not to be so gullible.

  • A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit against Fox News after lawyers for the network argued that no "reasonable viewer" would take the network's primetime star Tucker Carlson seriously.
  • The network asked a judge to dismiss the case, arguing that "Carlson's statements were not statements of fact and that she failed adequately to allege actual malice."
  • The judge agreed with Fox's premise, adding that the network "persuasively argues" that "given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer is skeptical of anything he says.
Totally irrelevant to his baby formula commentary.
