I can understand apostates being so vocally opposed to Christianity (a understatement to some) - the same way I understand smokers who quit smoking become radical advocates against smoking and tobacco companies!

good insights tosca. people go to God for help and he helps.

of course human nature is plagued by Pride, so we take the credit and discard God in the process.

my conclusion is that our forum atheists are truly fake, they are fighting against God for various reasons. in Bongs case, it is basically the issues of Pride which the devil will hook you up with possibly as a 'feel good' mechanism.

we all have that issue to some degree. on this forum, sometimes the temptation is to go in and 'win' a debate instead of just presenting The Truth and let God handle the work on someone's heart.

we are guilty on both sides of the fence. as christians i find we need a daily humble talk with God concerning repentance and the filling of God's Spirit to overcome our nasty flesh that also opposes God.

pray for Bong, he knows the power of God and has shared a Wonderful story of victory over an addiction that could have killed him.

Plenty of atheist and agnostics make it through life without the help of some imaginary god.

I got fired from a job (which was part of the adventure of 7 years or so)......ar the time our mortgage was being renewed (with a good deal being given to us).
I was honest to tell the bank that I just lost my job.
Guess what, it was like they didn't hear what I said!
They still gave us the same deal! Nothing's changed.

I give the credit to God.

sometimes i wish the angels would just come down to help our atheists/agnostics like Gbois.

Gbois would be a hoot with a great story and testimony of how he was all about himself with no gods and now is a changed/saved individual.

1 Corinthians 13 says charity (Godly love) never fails, that is why we are here............God's love never fails, everything else does. eventually our pride will die at the last breath, our car will rust into oblivion and we will be remembered no more.

You think only people who actually pray, are helped by GOD?

God can intervene at anytime, and at anyone...........for whatever reasons He may have.

If God gives you the power to look back through all your 76 years, you might be surprised to see the many times GOD had helped you.

A child that age is more capable of following someone on a bicycle than leading. The reason for this is biological: Self-control and focus is the function of the brain's frontal lobes, and the frontal lobes are not fully developed or fully connected to the rest of the brain until early adulthood.
